Sunset Park — Attraction in Mount Dora

My ex finance & I came here to watch the fireworks be set off to welcome in the new year of 2025. Honestly the firework show was amazing & beautiful, the crowd was packed everywhere your eyes could see. In my opinion, everyone was very behaving appropriately & respectfully. I seen multiple families attending with their children & I could tell the kids had a blast. I would love to go back there by myself during the day time and check out the view of the water. I will not go back there at night again because it would simply remind me of what I thought was going to be a wonderful night between my ex finance and I. I should’ve known it was going to be a crappy night when we weren’t able to capture our New Year’s Eve 2025’s first kiss in a picture. I had a very off feeling, & of course, now I know why. Beautiful area. The Christmas decorations were awesome. I brought my family here to walk around and really get into the Christmas spirit. Definitely worked. The big Christmas tree with music playing was a great place to take family pictures and hangout for awhile away from the huge crowds. Sweet little park in the heart of town. Many festivities throughout the year. One block from Lake Dora. Great place to bring a coffee and relax. The added bonus during the Christmas season is the huge Christmas tree, which plays Christmas music with the flashing light changes. I recommend visiting Sunset Park day and/or night....
