So my sister absolutely called and she also left messages which were unanswered. We tried to bring our mother for a special treat as she had been dying to check it out. After rechecking the website for times we headed over. No where on the web or even out front was there any indication of a private party. We attempted to enter my mother, sister, and myself(please note the entrance is extremely small) but were met by 3 women who asked if we were attending shower so were unable to progress further when we said no. At which point my sister explained she had tried to call and was told she needed to ācall on the weekends when they are openā or to āleave a messageā which we tried. Then she very rudely said with a sighā can you just let these others inā like lady the people behind us could get in if you werenāt blocking the way. How very rude of you my mother who is 78 was actually already out of the ladies way maāam you were the problem how very disappointing. So basically you donāt answer phones or messages you are not even polite when you are wrong and no one even said āIām sorryā kiss my a## or anything else. Thanks for that really great customer service. We try to support small business and can absolutely understand people learning the ropes and ironing out problems in the beginning but to not even have common courtesy is disgusting. At the very least someone could have said why donāt we get u set up for a reservation but no basically just get out way to go thanks for disappointing my favorite lady now she will never get to go. I will be sure to let my friends and coworkers not to waste their time or money *only gave that one star so I could post you donāt deserve it fyi
Celebrated my friends' birthdays today at Your Cup of Tea. The staff was sooo friendly, and service was quick. Upon arrival, they lend you hats and dainty gloves to wear, which made the experience much more fun. For men, they have top hats. It wasn't crowded when we went, but be sure to make a reservation to guarantee seating anyway. We found parking right in front of it, but I believe that they have their own parking lot in the back (not sure). Not a big place, but it has nice atmosphere for afternoon tea. They offer a great selection of sandwiches (you get to select 4 as part of the afternoon tea package), scones (select 2), desserts (assorted), and, of course, tea (Twinings teabags). Everything was delicious. They sang "Happy Birthday" to my friends with cupcakes and candles to blow. They have a small area in the back for young kids to have tea, complete with a wall of small hats for them to wear.
The price for afternoon tea was reasonable at $29 per person, compared to elsewhere where you can easily pay upwards of $70. We'll definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was really excited to try Your Cup of Tea! I reserved a table for me and my mom the Saturday before Motherās Day. The tea selections were great, as were their tea sandwiches and scones. I will say, I felt pretty rushed, what was supposed to be an about and a half long tea party for me and my mom only took about 45 minutes. The owner was really involved as well, to the point of reading out loud the bill for the services. š¬ I really just wanted it to be a nice little surprise for my mom, and I had planned the rest of the day around this party, and was a bit surprised by how rushed I felt, to how the bill was delivered. It made me feel mistrusted as if they had assumed I would dine and dash? Iām sure thatās not the case, but itās how I felt. Overall tea party was nice, except for the above mentioned things. I know theyāve been here for about a year, so Iām sure as time moves on things...
