I'm frustrated after 4 wrong orders in a row over the last 3 weeks. I haven’t had this issue at other culvers, but this location is 20 minutes each way which is the closest. I love walleye since I’m from Ohio originally and I always get a walleye sandwich with cheddar cheese and mayo only this time of year from Culvers, take a photo and post it on Facebook. I know of four people who have gone to Culvers because of my posting about the Walleye. Lately, though I have been missing food altogether or wrong order. Last week I did a curbside order and when I got home saw I was missing the chili cheese fries so I drove the 20 minutes each way and when I got there they said they were out of chili. Next day I went back and got the walleye with tater and lettuce which I asked for cheddar cheese and mayo only, found that out after I got home.
I got a response from the manager and told to show the email to get a chili cheese fry and a one-scoop sundae. I went back today to do that. I decided it would be better to go inside since it was more complex and showed the email to them. I said I would like the sundae and chili cheese fries and also a walleye sandwich with cheddar cheese and mayo. I pay for the walleye. I wait and get handed a bag. I go out to my car and realize it was just the fries, no sundae or walleye. I go back and wait for awhile and then decided to get back in line, ask again, some how it ended up as a different order, and was never given two different numbers to hold so they didn’t know who to give the order too. Decided to check it right there and it was missing the mayo on the sandwich. I was given mayo packets and left culvers 48 minutes after parking. It took 48 minutes to get the correct order today.
I don’t know what the issue is, every one is nice and it looks like people are working hard. I tried to justify they were really busy as I once worked in fast food too but honestly I have been there when slammed and later in the day when it was dead and still got missing items or wrong items each time.
I love the midwestern food but I’ve wasted so much time driving back and forth to get correct orders that I’m debating if it is best to just drive farther to a different location. I no longer have posted happy Walleye food at Culver, now it is just frustration about how many visits does it take to get an order correct.
In this review I'm trying to balance my love for the midwestern food and how awesome walleye is being sold in TN but with the very frustrating experience of wrong and missing orders and lots of wasted time. I'm very busy and time is not something I have...
Read moreI’ve been hesitant to share, because I don’t want to be That Person who only wants to complain. I’ve mulled it over, and I’ll say—if you want an ice cream treat, Culver’s is great. Go and get your treat, a cone or a quick drink. The food is where it all falls apart.
I’ve experienced poor service for food several times, which has prompted me to always check the bag they give me. Sides are usually missing, especially sauces and salad dressing. I think I’ve gotten two napkins total from them, both wrapped around a cone. Don’t expect utensils. Like salad dressing, napkins and forks seem to be an afterthought.
This last time, I ordered two meals. Guy walks out, hands me a bag that is clearly missing more than half the order. I open it, show him the receipt that is conveniently taped to the outside of the bag and point out all of my missing items, and I brought up how there were no condiments or napkins. He goes back, brings another bag, and yet again, even with the receipts taped to the outside of the bag, there are items missing. He goes back. A completely different person comes back, still no napkins or ketchup, but he has the rest of the food that I paid for. He also gives me a gift certificate for something I didn’t order for “next time” (yeah right.)
The thing is…getting what I paid for is difficult enough. The attitude of the first guy and the certificate…still no napkins or condiments…I have so many doubts that they’d bring me food I actually paid for, I don’t know what they’d do with food I got for free. I’ll just stick to getting an ice cream...

We stopped at the Culver’s in Mt. Juliet, TN while passing through, and we’re so glad we did. My boyfriend got the sourdough patty melt with cheese curds and a Coke, and I ordered a bacon butter burger with fries and a small chocolate concrete mixer with chocolate cake mix-ins. Everything was delicious!
We went through the drive-thru, and the gentleman taking our order was incredibly kind and patient — he gave us extra time to decide without rushing us and had excellent manners. After ordering, they gave us a number sticker to place on our mirror and had us pull forward. Our total was around $35, which is what we usually pay at a sit-down restaurant without the tip — totally fair for the quality.
The food came out in about 10 minutes. We ate in the parking lot and were both seriously impressed. My boyfriend practically inhaled his food and gave it a thumbs-up. My burger was super tasty — you could tell the ingredients like the red onions and pickles were fresh and high-quality. The presentation was great, too — it looked like someone really took pride in making it. And the concrete mixer? Phenomenal. I’m not even a big chocolate person, but I devoured the whole thing.
The only thing we couldn’t finish were the cheese curds — not because they weren’t good (they were!), but because they gave us so many! Totally worth the money, and we’ll definitely be back next time...
