May 19, 2018 @8:40-8:45pm For a busy Saturday night the drive thru line went very quickly. Actually, it was just me initially. I placed my order for a large Reece's Peanut Butter Cup Blizzard with extra peanut butter sauce and three spoons as the kids and I always share one. The young lady at the window was very pleasant and answered my questions about products they carry. I noticed several ice cream items on the counter behind her. I was confused because I was the only car at that time. No one in front of me pulled away either. She chatted for a minute then looked behind her and said "Oh, its already here". Yep, mine was one of said items already there. After she handed me the Blizzard I noticed it was pure white like vanilla soft serve. I asked if she was sure this was mine considering it was at the counter when i pulled to the window with no cars in front of me. She said "I think so". I stirred it around a bit but could see no sign of PB cups or PB sauce. I told her it wasn't right but she assured me "once its blended its hard to see what's in there". Ummmm no...have you seen Blizzard's before? By this time its melting. The kids are wanting their treat and cars are forming behind me so I thanked her and pulled forward. I handed it back to the kiddos and drove on. Then came the complaining. Kids saying its just vanilla ice cream with a little taste of PB. I pulled over and checked. Yep, they were right. I paid almost $5.50 for a cup of vanilla soft serve with the slightest taste of PB. I took a photo and will post if this allows. There are some specs of chocolate but I can only assume its from the blending machine from a previous order?? Did I go back? No. I had Larosa's we had just picked up and a hungry motley crew waiting for us to bring hot food. Did they eat it? Of course, they are children. Correction more like they drank it. So am I happy? No, not with the product. Very poor quality and I work hard for my money and expect businesses to sell quality products. We never have issues with Batavia's location. Are they owned by same person? IDK. However, a Blizzard is well know for its ridiculous chunks of yummy goodness. I assure you this was not in the same ballpark. I intend on calling the Mgr to see if anything can be done and will edit this to reflect that outcome. I just want to say while sitting at the window and the young cashier was chatting the Mgr was giving all the employees a pat on the back saying "good job". That is awesome and deserves recognition. These are young kids working. Some this may be their first job. A kind, encouraging Mgr is key to their success. I know there have been a lot of problems with this new store but please remember they are...
Read moreWe have been there twice now. The first time they messed up my ice cream twice. (It was only a chocolate ice cream dipped in chocolate in a cup.) The second time was today they was making the ice creams and setting them by the window like places do with sodas. Needless to say I spoke up and told them ''fyi it's not okay to make all them ice creams for them to sit there. I can see our ice creams melting." The guy stood there for minute looking at me and only took one ice cream back for remake then the girl came to see me through the window giving me the nastiest look ever. Like really??? I'm sorry we wanted ice creams not milk! Then they continued to proceed making the ice creams Early. Needless to say I don't think anyone got a normal non melted ice cream! I get y'all just opened but the customer service and lack of caring is not a good way of starting!!! We will continue...
Read moreSo I'm an over the road truck driver. Unfortunately I was stuck in this small town due to work delays. I parked on the road beside of the Dairy Queen Saturday around 3pm. I parked backed up on the road into the grass completely out of everyone's way. I ate here Saturday and Sunday. I didn't have a trailer so it was just my truck. I was not in anyone's way or bothering anything. But at 10:30pm I was woke up and told they didn't want me there anymore. They where already closed at this point. But still made it a point yo harass me! I work for 6 to 8 weeks at a time away from my family. I try to be respectful and curious to people. But apparently the manager at this Dairy Queen is ok with harassing a truck driver that isn't parked in his parking lot. Isn't bothering him, his staff, or his customers. I'm truly saddened that this is how this...
