Went in at 7.45pm spent $36.65 on 3 sandwiches. Walked up to the "order here" sign and waited for 5 minutes before anyone came up despite several people running around to take the order. I believe it was the manager/supervisor who did take the order. We ordered and then after a few minutes paid for the order at 7.57pm. The guy at the counter said he would call my name when the order was ready. We sat at a table directly in front of the counter. It was obvious they were busy and we watched them hurrying around. Not once during our wait did anyone behind the counter ask why we were waiting. After waiting a very long time and seeing all other customers in the store get served and leave, I went up to the counter at 8.29 when I saw the customer who came in 15 minutes after us get served and leave. I asked the same guy who took my order and had seen us sitting there for 30 minutes how much longer it would be. He said "what's the name? - Ken I said, he looked at me and said- they're right here and pointed to them sitting on their side counter. I looked at him dumbfounded and said- why didn't you call our name then? He said "someone probably did" I told him "You said you were going to call us and you've seen us sitting there waiting for half an hour - he shrugged and handed us the sandwiches. I was infuriated at the total lack of a basic level of understanding of service. I have worked in a busy restaurant and understand that- here's what this store needs. Re training on basic customer interaction. If someone is seen at the counter- at least acknowledge the presence with a "I'll be with you soon" If you see customers sitting right in front of you for 30 minutes- someone should reach out and say something. When the patient customer approaches the counter and points out that they have been waiting, apologize for the error- don't shrug and turn around and walk away. It has to have been one of the worst displays of poor customer service. I'm usually patient and understanding. In that same 30 minute period, we saw one other customer treated in a similar fashion, her presence at the counter not acknowledged, no-one asked her what she needed, she finally reached out and found that the order she had called in was not ready. She had to leave and requested a refund. The manager/supervisor was clearly not happy and again the response was minimal acknowledgement of poor service- no apology, and we saw her roll her eyes as the customer left- great food -...
Read moreMy husband and I placed an order Friday evening June 27th, approximately 6 PM. I was happy to see that they have salads. I ordered the sub club, and had a hard time eating it all, next time, I will ask for less lettuce. All the elements were fresh and crisp. I really appreciated the attention to small cuts which makes it much easier to eat. My husband ordered a specialty sandwich. Double meat double cheese and could only eat half. But ate the next day for lunch and was...
