The food we had was actually quite good. We had mac & cheese eggrolls, nachos, chicken parmesan sandwich, pepper jack pasta and chicken & sun dried tomato pasta and we thought it was all delicious! Our server, Cassie, was amazing, friendly and attentive.
The manager caused me to remove stars from my rating. My daughter ordered garlic parm chicken tenders and after she took a bite, she realized they were lemon pepper instead. No big deal, we just gave Cassie the plate to have the kitchen make the correct dish. The plate came back very fast and we noticed the piece of chicken she had eaten on the first plate was still ON the PLATE. The kitchen sprinkled some parmesan cheese on top of the lemon pepper chicken and sent the same plate back out! We asked Cassie if we could talk with the manager and he said he was too busy to talk to us but that yes, the kitchen sent out the same food after adding some cheese. We asked for a refund for the chicken and the manager refused stating that if ANY of the meal was eaten or taken home, the customer has to pay. Well, my daughter had the wrong food twice and was hungry so she sucked it up and ate part of the garlic parmesan/lemon pepper chicken! I've worked in restaurants and have NEVER heard of the kitchen sending out the same plate of the WRONG dish nor have I heard of the manager being ok with that and refusing to remove the meal from the bill when the customer is VERY unhappy! Another employee came to the table when she saw my husband looking towards the kitchen waiting for the manager (who never showed up-he had a "conference call" at 8:45pm on a Thursday). When we told her what happened, she said that happens all the time where the manager tells the kitchen to resend out the wrong food after they doctor it a bit. OMG! For real?!!!
All it would have taken to resolve the wrong dish issue was to cook the right dish! The experience was so good up to that point and we were so disappointed and quite frankly infuriated by the way this was handled by...

Read moreAs locals we’ve been to King Street Grille many times, mostly for lunch. This evening we went at the request of a friend who wanted one of their amazing salads. Our server, Titi, (I hope I have her name right!) was delightful. She was professional, knew her menu, and super friendly. We ordered an app, and a cocktail, all great. I chose the salmon, described as, “5 Herb Salmon* Salmon filet lightly rubbed with horseradish mayo, crusted with 5 herbs (rosemary, parsley, basil, scallions, cilantro), and served atop shrimp scampi mashed potatoes. Served with a basil pesto sauce. The salmon was really good, however the pesto sauce was overwhelmingly salty, and when I tried the shrimp, I couldn’t eat it due to the amount of salt it had in it. I mentioned this to our server and she brought me a bowl of shrimp. However, this shrimp was even saltier. At this point I asked to speak with the manager. Brian, the manager said, “I watched them cook this myself, and there’s no salt on it.” I asked him to taste one, and he replied that he’s allergic. He then assured me, “I’m not sure how they’re salty, but the cook didn’t add salt”. He said he’d take them off the bill, but instead discounted it by $10.00. Not impressed with your abilities as a manager Brian! You basically called me a liar, and offended a customer that isn’t afraid to go way...
