• We stayed Sunday night over winter break in December 2023 (Christmas Eve). • Location was a little annoying as you couldn’t make left turns when leaving. You had to make a right and go down and u-turn. • Young lady at front desk checking us in went above and beyond. Super nice and answered all our questions. Even offered to open the pool for us even though it was cold outside. In the end our kids decided they didn’t want to go in. • There was no special perk for being a rewards member like at some other locations. • Luggage carts only had the small rollie ones so we had to either take 2 carts or make multiple trips. • We got room 303. It was all the way at the end of the hallway. • Did notice that one of the elevators had a out of order sign on. It did take a while sometimes as we waited for elevator especially when we were moving luggage in and out. • Room was decently clean. Did find opened contact packet hiding under all the towels in the bathroom that didn’t belong to us. • Shower looked amazing, large with glass shower door instead of curtain and interesting drain design, but then very disappointed with the water pressure in the shower head. It’s same as last few Holiday Inn Express & Suites we’ve stayed at but for whatever reason the water pressure was so low it ruined the showering experience. It was acceptable as it got everyone clean. Wife did enjoy the provided makeup towel. • Breakfast was a little lacking. Not sure if it was because it was Christmas morning or something. There were no biscuits and gravy which is usually available at every other Holiday Inn Express & Suites we’ve been to (over a dozen). They also had a place for the cinnamon buns but there were not available and no yogurts. The milks which are usually individual containers were instead gallon jugs. • Overall was a good stay and would stay again if we were driving through.

The hotel was conveniently located in Mt Pleasant in the same parking lot as SOL Restaurant. I stayed here one night because I was cruising from Charleston the next day. We arrived on a Wednesday at 7:30 pm. This had to be the fastest check-in I have ever experienced. We gave our name and they handed us key cards literally within 5 minutes. I was too tired from the road trip to take in what a nice lobby the hotel has now. Plenty of lounge seating, a business area with a computer, High top tables and stools if you wanted to do some work or business. Also, in the lobby is tables and chairs for breakfast that they serve every morning. Surprisingly, they have an area where you can cook out and make use of their grill outside. There were some families outside using those amenities. The pictures of the room are for Room 314. Two nice queen beds. Clean looking bedspread and crisp sheets. The bathroom was a nice size. The sink was a good size with a mirror that lights up. The shower was clean with glass doors. Extra TP and towels were provided along with Dove Body wash, shampoo, and hand soap. I made use of the microwave and refrigerator. There was ample closet and storage space. I was impressed with the long wood bench. Very helpful for those who are mobile challenged. 6 was a very good choice for a comfortable overnight stay.

We were disappointed with our stay at this hotel for several reasons. First, the advertisement mentioned a kitchenette, but our room only had a fridge and microwave. Second, the breakfast experience was unpleasant due to a staff member who was aggressive toward guests. She confronted my husband for using an unused fork to take bread, while other guests used their hands without issue. The next morning, she even threatened an elderly guest who politely asked for more pancake batter. Additionally, I witnessed her cleaning the floor and tables with the same towel, which was unsanitary and disrespectful. On the first night, we asked for a crib for our one-year-old baby, and the night staff told us they only had one, which was broken! Thankfully, the next morning, another staff member resolved the issue and provided a crib. On top of that, the hotel does not offer 24-hour complimentary coffee in the lobby. Even for complimentary hot water, you have to ask the front desk, and some night staff showed attitude when we asked for it. Lastly, do not forget to check your towels—they may not be properly cleaned. This experience was far from what we expected, and serious improvements are needed.

As someone who works in hospitality and understands that the customer is not always right, the front desk ladies, specifically Peyton, should NOT be in hospitality. We were there this past weekend for a baseball tournament. This hotel is a Stay to Play hotel. Meaning if we want to play in this tournament, there are certain hotels we must stay at. This one was close to the ball park, had a pool, and we stayed at an IHG hotel last month in Delaware and had a great experience. From the minute I checked in, Peyton was simply unhelpful and rude. I chalked it up to being tired. We got there on a Wednesday and the pool was closed for some reason. Keeping 9yr olds entertained with no pool was a challenge. By Thursday, Peyton was clearly irritated with the kids. Odd, since this is a participating hotel. They should be used to kids. Pool gets fixed on Friday, kids play ball in the morning, pool in the afternoon into the evening, no issues at all. Saturday evening, the adults are sitting in the lobby and the kids are in bed and Peyton turned the lights off at 9pm. Picture adults sitting in the lobby and the lights just get shut off while we are having conversation. I asked her, "hey, did the lights get turned off on purpose?". To which she replied, YES, the lobby closes at 9. How incredibly RUDE to shut the lights off on adults (not children) having conversation in the lobby of a hotel. I asked if she got noise complaints, she said "no". It's quiet time at 9pm and her policy is to shut the lights off. I told her we ordered pizza, let us eat then we will wrap things up. It was raining and we couldn't go outside. She, in all her attitude and glory, said "fine". To my surprise, 30 minutes later, she called the cops. Even the cops thought the call was absolutely ridiculous. I could NOT get out of there fast enough Sunday. Another parent stayed another night and when she got back to the hotel at almost 10pm, the lights were on and there were folks in the lobby hanging out. Never in all my years of traveling have I experienced such a RUDE front desk staff. Peyton DOES NOT need to be in hospitality. and that hotel needs to remove themselves from the Top Gun tournament. The lady in the morning who helped with breakfast service was awesome and so were the...

We checked out after staying 5 nights and we had a nice stay. The lobby was clean and well appointed with couches connecting to the breakfast area. The woman at the front desk was nice and had our room keys ready on the spot making check in a breeze. All the ladies at the front desk during our stay were very friendly and would ask about our day. The room was large with a couch and sitting area, there was a desk and area for our bags to be propped up on a bench of sorts. There was also a coffee table that was used for board games and eating area while we stayed. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I especially liked the firm pillow. The bathroom was a good size with complimentary Watkins brand body soap and shampoo. There was a pool we used and it was pretty well maintained. I didn’t like seeing some guests sitting out there after it was supposed to be closed, but our room was not near that area so we didn’t hear them. Also, there were people drinking beer bottles and other glass bottles and I was concerned there would be broken glass. Breakfast was very good, but it was pretty much the same daily for a few days. There was scrambled eggs, both pork and Turkey sausages, a real cool pancake machine the kids loved to use and they came out very tasty! There was also juices, cereals, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, fruit, milks and bagels. Friday was actually the first day there were egg whites and it was a very welcomed change. I would have liked to see scrambled eggs and egg whites together daily. There was a super nice attendant in the food area named Denise! She was so nice and friendly with a warm welcome to the breakfast area. Denise recommended my son put some peanut butter on his pancakes and he LOVED it! I honestly think the coffee was better because she is a happy person!! Next to the hotel is a southwestern Resturant named Sol that we really enjoyed and it’s super convenient that it is literally steps from the hotel. This hotel is in a really good location because there are many Resturant’s in close driving distance, also Target and Wal-mart nearby. Isle of Palms with a large beach area and restaurants is also a 10 min ride. Really happy we...
