This was the first time eating here. Both my wife and I enjoyed the food and service. We try to support our locally owned businesses to make sure they can stay in business and help our community by hiring local people which all helps keep our local fund in our community. They are scoring this low review because of how they handle a $3.25 question about one our meals. I ordered a framers omelette with hashbrowns. Just above the omelette category the menu states add $1 for hashbrowns. I enjoyed the omelette had a small plate of hashbrowns but when the bill came there was a $4.25 charge. Since our waitress had already left, we asked another waitress. What is this charge for? She went and asked and said that was for a side order of hashbrowns for $4.25. We said it states $1 dollar for hashbrowns with all omelettes. She said the farmers omelette has hashbrowns in it. I explained that omelette was delicious, but I didn’t see one hash brown piece in it. She went to the kitchen and asked then the manager came out. We were told hashbrowns were in the omelette, but they only put a small sliver of hashbrowns in the farmers omelette and that thethat the charge of $4.25 was for a side order of hashbrowns. I explained there were no hashbrowns in the omelette and that their menu states $1 dollar for hashbrowns for all omelettes. The manager said that isn’t the case and asked if I ate the hashbrowns. I said, of course I did. She said well you owe $4.25. I was not trying to get something for nothing and was more them willing to pay the $1 for the small plate of hash browns, but she was not having it. So even though the food, coffee, and the wait staff was great I gave only a $1 tip for what I was willing to pay for and this restaurant will never have opportunity to earn our endorsement or business again. The business manager chose $3.25 over having a satisfied customer and having our...
Read moreI asked Google where I could get some breakfast a couple days ago and it recommended Stan's Restaurant. I do like to try new places, and so I decided to go. I immediately noticed how busy they were. Even the local fire chief was there sitting right next to my booth. This seemed like a good sign, and when my server came over I ordered coffee, biscuits and gravy, and scrambled eggs. My server said it would be ready in 40 seconds. The cooks were playing loud heavy metal music and laughing loudly in the open kitchen. My server calmly explained that the cooks had taken a few shots that morning, and apparently that seemed a perfectly reasonable explanation for why they were behaving so loud and goofy at work. Fifteen minutes later I still had no food. I asked the waitress "What happened to 40 seconds?" still smiling and trying to be patient. She just shrugged and walked away. After about 20 minutes total I finally received my breakfast, which was far from impressive. The eggs were cold, and the biscuits were small and flat, but the sausage gravy was decent. I ate quickly, and sat with an empty plate for around 10 minutes waiting for the check, but I ended up walking to my server myself and asking for it. Now, I did see the price for the biscuits and gravy, but not the eggs or coffee. The biscuits and gravy were like $8, but my bill was $14.31. The bill only said: B & C + Scram, Coffee. With no price given for each item, just $14.31 circled on the back. I could be wrong, but either way I'm not happy. Either Stan's Dump charged me $5+ for a scoop of cold scrambled eggs and a coffee, or my server overcharged me and pocketed the difference...and I still left a $2 tip. I'm too nice sometimes. So, this is why I am giving Stan's Restaurant a one ⭐ rating, and I believe that's...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a good hot breakfast, or maybe just a place to get some coffee… please do yourself a favor and look else where. You could pay the same amount at Bob Evan’s or ihop and at least get to eat food that doesn’t make you sick. This place is not only rude the manager/ owner who very rudely told me her name is Tammy for my review because she said she didn’t care, decided not to take back a plate of food I did not eat because I took one bite and thought it was horrible. I asked politely the first two times the poor waitress that was working our table had to be involved by getting her this woman let her cook serve us half cooked food and then refused to take care of it claiming it’s a common sense policy that if you order it you should have to pay for it, well if I order it I also expect it to be cooked right. Needless to say I will not be going back there not that she cares by the way she rudely pointed out to her customer. Never had someone so disrespectful demand to be paid for something that they did not give to...
