Our food was wonderful, always has been!! The place is clean and beautiful but our service was subpar. I came in first, as I was meeting my husband and daughter but they'd be another 20-30 minutes. There was nobody around, patron or customer, (it was early maybe 4:15 so before dinner rush I get it) I waited a few minutes and then began wondering around. After maybe 5 minutes I approached the kitchen and felt like an inconvenience when greeted. I brushed that off cause I really wanted that PIZZA and CHEESE BREAD I was craving! Lol. Sat down ordered a beer. Sipped on that waiting for my family..my daughter was starving so I went ahead and ordered the cheesebread and her buttered noodles off the kids menu, so hopefully she could eat soon after her arrival. The cheesebread and noodles took about 30 minutes which is fine, just weird as I was the only table there. The bread was FANTASTIC. the noodles had standing oil in the bottom of bowl, (like a couple ounces) so I did my best to soak it up with a few napkins and she ate some of it but decided the cheesebread was where it was at but we'd only got 1 ranch with our order so she asked for anther. I also asked for a water(for the second time but I get things happen and he was getting busy at this point) as my beer was empty and I was parched, lol. But really a water and a side of ranch were the only things we needed or asked for outside of our original order and never received either. I finally just asked for my bill and a box as we had a football game to get to. When he brought the bill the buttered noodles that the menu says are 5.99 were rang up as penne and meatballs for 7.50 with a note under saying buttered noodles. I know, I know, it's a $1.50, but it's the point. Oh, we also had the 10 topping pizza that was DELICIOUS! I was here a couple weeks ago with a friend and the vibe from the guy behind the bar was so pleasant and inviting and that's been my experience in the past as well. Maybe this guy was having a bad day, we all do, but I'm pretty easy to please and don't complain and didn't last night either, just felt like an inconvenience the whole experience from being the only one in the building to when dinner rush started. I will definitely be back cause I love the food and the owners are great but this was not my best experience.

We get the Wednesday special here quite often and it's usually at least five pizzas. We have had not-so-great experiences here but never really said anything because the pizzas were decent. However, after reading other people's experiences here, the stuff that happened with us certainly is not an anomaly. 1) I picked up an order of seven-ish pizzas and the overworked young girl working the front of house it seemed to have no social skills and seemed offended that I asked for a bag to carry everything out to my car. When I saw the grocery bags sitting right next to the takeout area, she reluctantly gave me one to pack the pizzas in. 2) The way the pizzas are made is not always consistent. Sometimes the toppings are loaded up, sometimes there are only several pieces and right in the middle of the pie. 3) we received a very rude note on one of the pizza boxes but we did not see it until we got it back to the office.(See attached). It seems like something a child would do... However looking at the responses to the reviews here, it definitely was the owners. When we call into place an order, we just ask for clarity on that orders so that things are consistent. We are never rude to anyone and we always tip. I have never eaten inside here so I can't comment on the table service but from what I've seen of responses of the management, this is clearly not someplace I would probably call warm and inviting even though the interior looks great and even kind of cozy. If you've ever seen Kitchen Nightmares, this place is starting to remind me of Amy's Baking Company.

If you're looking for quality pizza, here it is. You won't find typical chain restaurant greasy, bland pizza here. The pizzas we tried were the Pickle, and Big Meat. The Big Meat hit all the right spots: quality, crisp pepperoni, hamburger, bacon and ham and a flavorful red sauce. The unique finale was the Pickle pizza. If you're hesitant with ordering one because you're worried about overpowering vinegar, don't. The pickle compliments the dill and creamy cheese with a smooth texture. Leave any preconceptions at the door. Finally, the seasonal Pumpkin sticks were a perfect finish to an already satisfying meal. They were a pleasing balance of texture, soft, yet chewy with a nice doughy consistency. The pumpkin sauce was easy to dip, not runny but also not so firm that it's challenging to dip. We also tried their peach lemonade, not pictured. It was once again, a great option. They offer other familiar flavors, but the peach combo was a nice change of pace, not overly sweet. Overall, our first experience at Vin Trofeo's was very positive. I highly recommend you make the trip here. We live over in Allendale, but I won't hesitate to drive past Grand Rapids and Lansing to come here again. Well worth giving this establishment a try.

I hate having to write this. I was looking so forward to trying this place, as I’ve heard so many nice things...with that said, I have to say that I was SO disappointed. We tried the pizza buffet and salad bar. The lettuce at the bar was shredded iceberg. Salads should never consist of shredded lettuce. Unless, however, it is a taco salad. Next, the items at the bar were soggy, not fresh. From the previous day or more. Items weren’t marked either, except the dressings. The salad bar itself was too low. It made it very difficult to bend down and to the back of it to retrieve bar items. Next, the pizza buffet. First and foremost, I didn’t like the pizza at all; and I love pizza! Their sauce tasted sour and contained a spice that I can’t put my finger on. It tasted like a very pungent, sour type of cheese. That ruined it for me. The pizza crust seemed almost undercooked and floury tasting. It was also barely warm. Perhaps the heating lamps or heater was not working properly. Lastly, the service was subpar. The server seemed distracted and annoyed, and we all know, that the server is the face of the business when you first walk in. It’s our first impression of the place and she was lacking. Unfortunately, not liking the pizza gives me no reason to return, because, honestly, that’s the whole reason we go to a pizza place to begin with.

Bill, You’re response is ridiculous. Who is Inskra that I supposedly stole photos from? My profile picture is an animated cartoon.

My name is Cassie, as my Facebook profile indicates. The name, Linda, that is on my gmail account is both my mother and my email account that we use at our law office. THIS ACCOUNT IS BY FAR NOT FAKE.

If you would have taken the time to check the Facebook profile create date, you would have seen 2014 and posts dating back to 2014.

Your accusations that the account is fake is nothing more than an attempt to try and discredit my very accurate review of your establishment by attacking the validity of my legitimate Google and Facebook accounts.

Please spend less time attacking the reviews of your customers and more time working on the issues in your restaurant. Shame on you...

This was my first experience here, as I had just moved to the downtown area. I have heard great reviews about the food and wanted to see for myself. I placed a pickup order and walked to go get it, as I’m very close by. When I first walked in, I saw the sign to see staff, so I stopped and was immediately told to wait as the bartender was talking to someone at the bar. She was already headed towards the person at the bar so I thought nothing of it. As soon as I had told her I had a pickup order, she looked at me and told me (quite rudely) to go to the other end of the bar and wait for her. So I did. After she handed me my food, she made a snarky comment about using the other door for pickup orders, and that there’s 10 minute parking over there. This was my first time here, how was I supposed to know this? There weren’t any signs or disclaimers about using the other door for pick up orders. She then stated that her manager was very strict about this. Which I suppose I can understand, as there really isn’t too much room to move around in there. I just wish that there was perhaps some sort of communication about using the other door online, or at the very least that she wasn’t so rude about it. I was very polite to her from the moment I walked in to the moment I left, and received nothing but disrespect. The food was very good, but not good enough to justify going back and dealing with rude staff again. There were so many other ways she could have gone about the situation, and she chose to be nasty. I unfortunately do not see myself going back here after being...
