Orange Teriyaki — Restaurant in Mount Vernon

Me and my boyfriend went out to eat at this restaurant wanting sushi, we were originally gonna go to sakura sushi bar but the wait times happened to be longer then we were willing to wait so we decided to eat at orange teriyaki. First of all, online they advertise that they sell sushi but when we went sushi was never displayed on the menu. I got the brisket pho, takoyaki, and my boyfriend ordered the chicken and pork teriyaki. On the positive side we both really liked the takoyaki balls. But the reason im giving this place one star was bause of how bad the pho was. The broth was so flavorless it tasted like i was drinking water, the brisket also tasted like nothing, the only way to get flavor in the pho was to add a huge amount of hoisin sauce, and at that point it still didnt even taste good. The chicken of the teriyaki has way too much sauce on it, and then the pork tasted like barbecue? Anyways it was such of a waste of...

Initially we were going to go to Sakura’s but their Hibachi was booked. So we decided to leave and found this gem! We couldn’t have been more pleased! The service was fantastic and their Miso soup and green tea was absolutely delightful. We came towards the end of their night so instead of throwing away the miso, she suggested that I take home the rest of what they had..that made me happier than you will ever know!!! It is 100% our new go to place. We will definitely be coming here a lot more often. Without question. Not to mention the price is unbeatable. The atmosphere, food and service made me feel like I was back home with my Obachan. As a matter of fact it’s going to be our date night spot and when my Obachan comes to visit me, I will certainly bring her here. She will love it just as much as we did. Absolutely delicious food for a great price. I will recommend and go here again. This will probably become a go to place. We got the spicy ramen and spicy pho. The only things to note is when we were their, it was deserted but it looked like they were doing mostly online orders. The pho came out at perfect serving temperature vs my spicy ramen came out to hot. I actually burnt my tongue. Still ate it though and it was delicious. It also took a while for our food but the portion was so big it made sense why it took so long. Edit: the last time we went the ramen bowl was filled half way. Still delicious and a lot of food but was disappointing that the amount changed. We'll try again at lunch time to see if...
