I've been here only a few times, but two of the three employees I've met so far are quite friendly. One of them invited me to D&D and while he wasn't there on the night I was finally able to get a ride, I am very glad I went. The back room was crowded and noisy, but I found a group of players to sit with who were all very friendly and welcoming, and eager to teach me about the game. Due to their influence, I ended up buying one of the D&D books, and the employee let me order a set of dice that they didn't have on hand that night. They have a massive selection of manga, and some anime dvds and blu-rays, if you're into that, and they also have an enormous selection of comic books and other tabletop rpg manuals. There are action figures, puzzles, and at least a little bit of everything from what I could tell. There are also arcade and pinball machines in the back room, and free to play...

They also have a pretty mice retro arcade in the back, with a wide selection. Everything from the original mario bros & suoer mario bros 3, to gauntlet, to space invaders, to the original mortal kombat, and more. They even have a few pinball machines you spend hours playing. There's tons of classics any retro fan will enjoy, with any doubt. (And yes, they run on quarters. Very nostalgic)

Read moreEvery comic is bagged and boarded, and their stock rivals shops three times their size. I'm amazed at how much inventory this place packs into their real-estate. Board games, miniatures, RPGs, manga, collectible figures and kitsch, trading card games, cold soda... If they don't have it, they can probably order it.
The back of the shop is split between an arcade with old school machines including pinball, and a gaming room for MTG tournaments and other weekly tabletop events. Businesses like this are disappearing, and we're lucky to have one in the Skagit valley, with local ownership and employees. ...
