Half-Time's Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Mount Washington

Absolutely terrible. Stopped in, on my lunch break and ordered a "queso" burger. It took over 30 minutes to get my meal. The burger was nothing to write home about. It fell apart, and was a real mess. The queso was flavorless too. The fries on the other hand, those were good. It took me an additional 15 minutes for my server to come take my money so I could pay. And I mean all waitresses were nowhere to be found! I would not go back again. I wanted to drop in for a quick bite to eat. I ended up spending pretty close to an hour... Thumbs down!! I just returned to this place after many years of avoiding it. I really wanted a good burger! Once again, I went on my lunch break. I was seated right away by a waitress who seemed like she had better things to do than wait tables. She took my order of a burger and Mt. Dew, and went on her way. She returned with my drink right away. That's when things took a turn for the worse... I sat there for 30 minutes! Now, mind you, the place was not that busy at all. After the 30 mins, I asked her if I could get my meal to-go. She said yes and went to the kitchen. She quickly came back to tell me that my burger was just put on the grill. But when it was done, she'd get me taken care of. After around 10 more minutes, she arrived with my meal. There was no bag to put the box in, and she didn't even offer a to-go drink. I paid the absurd $16 and quickly left the restaurant. The burger was good but not great! It did satisfy my craving, but at the cost of too much of my time and, in my opinion, too much money. I will never eat there again! Mt. Washington really needs an establishment that can serve a quick hot meal for people on a lunch break. Half times is...

I tried reaching out to the owners before posting this however every contact I was given for them didn't work even the email address was wrong. So I have no other choice since I Can speak to anyone. Me and my husband went there last night and let me say we've been there a few times because it's really close to our house with no issues. However last night WAS HORRIBLE . from the rude hostess to the VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGER. We waited 45mins to get our food and when we got it mine was cold the plate was so hot you couldn't touch it but the good wasn't. When I asked for a manager he came out and I was telling him what happened and he's taking his hands for me to hurry up then said So you want your food or not!!!! Of course I wanted my food that's why I came there!! So when I get it again it's not cold but it's not hot and the roll I was charged.50 cents for was hard as a rock!!!I was in the business for alot of years and a manager to be so rude and could of cared less if I got my food hot or not is not ok!! I still didn't get to eat and he never came back to the table. The only good thing about the whole thing was our server!! She acted more like the manager and really was concerned about the issue. She took my meal off. Not the manager because I couldn't eat it. It's a shame because we liked going there but probably not anymore unfortunately.! If you don't like what you do don't take it out on the people WHO JUST WANT WHAT...

This will be the fifth week in a row and tonight was a little to much to not complain. Every Friday we call carry out ( anywhere from 5 to 25 minutes) so assuming they're busy I drive up to find out not bust as usual and plenty of staff. Greeted 5 minutes in to which I'm told , " I will get someone to take care of you!" 10 minutes later I'm told, "give me a sec!" 5 minutes later. Then 2 items in told one they are out of (reasonable, its late) and the other they don't carry anymore which is not what the menu online says. All this could have been fixed over a phone order but no.... wasted time, gas, and the ability to order nice meal somewhere else because togo is closed everywhere except fast food in or near Mt. Washington. The food is great! One of my faves but like most dining establishments in this town I would recommend not ordering togo I you want to keep your sanity. Trying to save someone a waste of time. Go there and eat and you will love it but they don't cater very well to togo orders. They do get busy and they only have one line on the phone and it can get loud. Save your time...
