Of all of the Starbucks I've been to in the county, this is my favorite. It is a café with no drive through. There are nice places to sit and study. It is usually fairly quite, but I also bring headphonea with me. The surrounding Mountain Brook Village is quaint and nice (even if the stores are pricey). It is near the gardens and the zoo, so it is a nice place to stop by after a day at either location. During peak hours it does get busy, this is around the beginning and end of the work day with addition peaks in the mid afternoon and around 8pm. During its busy season lines can be out the door during peaks. The staff is efficient and friendly even when I've seen people be mean to them. The peak season starts at Thanksgiving and continues through Winter, with another shorter peak season occurring for a few weeks when they are heavily advertising their frappuccinos in late Spring. It may take a while to get your drinks during a peak, but the staff is always working their hardest so I've never actually had a frustrating experience here. If I have any questions about drinks, the staff is great at helping me out. I have never seen them be rude to a customer even when customers as them to do things they can't do or when customers come in right at close. It is a great place. I would recommend...
Read moreNormally when I visit this Starbucks Isaac is the one who helps me at the window and is always super nice and friendly. However, this past week when I visited, there was a young lady who was all about tips to the point where she pushed the pad outside the window and asked me to fill it out now I’m all about giving tips however, when I feel pressured and doing so it makes me not want to come back and visit your location. I feel like the box outside the window is plenty to remind people to leave a tip as they should, however, please don’t do this to your customers. It’s so rude . And also, I do not need an education on how my chip card doesn’t work and I should be contacting my bank. I feel this is my business and do not need to be schooled on it. Maybe there is a reason that option had been turned...
Read moreWorking in the Village, this is one of my first stops in the morning fir coffee for the past 13 years. I love this place. But today I left my wallet at home, and did not know what to do for lunch. I had a little money on my Starbucks app, but had never tried Starbucks for lunch. Jennifer saw me standing there looking unsure about what to do so she asked, “do you need a refill Jackie?” I told her my dilemma and she said, “ Don’t worry it’s on us.” In a very kind and confident voice. I had a sandwich and green tea, and a smile while eating it. She is just one of the kind young ladies that work at that Hollywood/Cahaba Starbucks. I will have my money tomorrow, and a...
