As a real estate professional who frequently works remotely, I’ve spent countless hours in Starbucks locations over the years—often arriving early, setting up, and making a purchase once settled. I’ve never had an issue doing this, especially as a long-time Starbucks Rewards member of nearly 15 years.
This was my second visit to this particular location. When I arrived, I went to the register to place an order using the Starbucks app and rewards points. I was informed by the team member that their system was down and they could only accept cash. I understood completely and planned to get cash from an ATM after completing a bit of work on my laptop.
About 30 minutes later, the same young lady who had helped me earlier asked if I needed anything while she cleaned nearby tables. I asked if the system was back up—it wasn’t—so I requested a cup of water in the meantime. She informed me water was only for paying customers. While I respected her response, it was disappointing, given that I had already attempted to make a purchase upon arrival.
Shortly after, another team member named Che approached me and said that if I wasn’t going to make a purchase, I’d need to leave, per company policy. I politely explained that I planned to go to the ATM and had every intention of buying something, but was told again that I had to leave.
This experience was not only uncomfortable but also left me feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. I understand the need for policies, especially related to loitering, but this situation didn’t fall into that category. I attempted to make a purchase, was limited by their internal issue, and was still treated as if I had no intention to be a customer.
I’ve never encountered anything like this at other Starbucks locations. I did contact corporate because I believe this interaction could have been handled more thoughtfully and...
Read moreIt was my first time at this location- it was not busy and there was no customers at the time placing orders but one or two cars in drive thru when we arrived. Went up to register to order and immediately noticed two large trash bags behind register and drive thru window that had flies swarming it and in their walkway. We ordered our drinks (4) note there was ~6 employees.. after a while we noticed they started to fufill orders (drive thru) but ours didn’t come out- we stood up to ask and they aknowledged us and quickly made our order… Waited almost 20 minutes for 2 drinks..they come back and give me this I have never received a drink with clumps like that. When I asked about it they said it was normal. Ive ordered this drink plenty of times and never gotten that. Threw my drink in the trash and left. ps they never took the trash out from behind register. Clear representation of the establishment. This review is the last thing I will ever spend with Starbucks especially this location- waste of time, money and positive...
Read moreThis is my fifth time purchasing coffee, from this location. I always get the same drink (an iced white chocolate mocha), since I have come to love it's reliable taste. Unfortunately this location has proved to be incapable of serving the reliable taste Starbucks promises. This location has been serving the drink much to sweet, and without enough coffee (as though they are purposefully holding back on the amount of expresso). When I ask for the drink to get remade properly, the staff becomes quite hostile. They sometimes refuse to remake it or even try to make me pay for the drink again. This is the only location that struggles to make the drink properly (I don't get any extras, just the normal drink), and make you pay extra just to get it redone properly. The staff has treated me with a condescending demeanor, trying to make me order something I don't want, due to their inability to provide a simple drink. It is quite unfortunate that such a convenient location lacks the expertise to provide a good service to all...
