New York Pizza — Restaurant in Mountain View

This is my go-to pizza place in Mountain View. The pizzas have a tasty, tangy sauce, and there are lots of toppings to choose from. I've also had the calzones which make a great meal.

One of their best features is their slices which are made to order. Much fresher than places that have their aging pizza on display and then have to re-heat your slice. The thin crust is a real crust, unlike those paper-thin, 2-minute, turbo-chef fast-food pizza joints. You actually get a huge slice, enough for a meal, in about 5 minutes.

They also have an app that lets you order your pizza in advance for pick up, or for delivery. The issue there though, is that they don't allow you to order slices on their app anymore. So to pre-order slices for pick-up, you'll have to contact them directly on their phone. old-school.

Sooo (disclaimer my top Ny style pizza in the South Bay is bibos in willow glen) since moving to Sunnyvale we have yet to find something on the same level. We saw the pictures of this place and it really brought us in. But don’t be fooled. The pictures are not accurate and you will be slightly disappointed.

The price point was great considering the size of the pizza. We got 2 slices one pepperoni and one pepperoni and olive. Both slices were super burnt on the bottom and the dough was not very good. I can deal with it being toasty but this thing I could throw through the window.

We purchased the garlic bread that was thoroughly sad and soggy .. the bread felt like it was the Safeway select version from Safeway.

We also got the Greek salad which was really really good.

This is my go to Pizza spot near my work in Mountain View. For less than $11, you can get this cheese bread with toppings. It's a great steal for personal pizza, I can never finished the whole thing in one sitting. They offer a variety of options, but today I went with the L.A. Combo, which has Pepperoni, sausage, salami, linguica, mushroom, garlic, eggplant, feta cheese, marinara sauce & mozzarella cheese. As much as I like all the meats, my favorite topping on this pizza is the eggplant. The bread is perfectly toasted, and its a thin layer of bread. You get more toppings then bread. They are always generous with the toppings. I like pulling the pizza apart and seeing the cheese stretch out. They also give you extra marinara sauce and ranch to dip your pizza in.
