Been there a couple times, even thou there weren't other customers when I was there, they always try to rush me to order like if I knew their menu from memory and is not like they have to rush back to the kitchen because they had more people on the back which I could clearly hear. In one of the instances one of the ladies was taking my order (no language barrier as I also speak Spanish). After done giving my order to the lady, a younger woman, who was standing there staring while I was placing the order, told the lady to move, and made me repeat my order all over. That was unrespectful to the other lady that was taking my order, very unprofessional. Most of their food is ok, I think has to do with their seasoning and my taste, only their Fried Yuca(Cassava) Mofongo I like, but they do not remove the woody (root/vane like) center from the yuca and have to pick them out of it. Tried their fried snack foods, but also their seasoning is different, seems they use a specific ingredient a lot. But you may like it, just not for me. I think their price is more like...
Read morePunta Cana is a culinary diamond in the rough and it’s gleaming. Authenticity may be rare these days, but this little restaurant is a fearless exception.
The staff are engaging, friendly, and so kind. You’re walking into a good time.
Full disclosure; you may want a translator app handy, or know a little Spanglish, but you can easily get by with the English menu. It’s that authentic.

Read moreThey'll take your money, cancel the ENTIRE order because they're out of ONE item, never contact you despite having your email and phone number, then literally yell at you when you call to find out what's going on. Oh, and good luck getting your $$ back. Out over $50 because they say they didn't take my money, but it's gone from my account. Also insist they don't use Doordash, but the driver who called me (how i found out it was cancelled) says she delivers from there multiple times a week. (And doordash had my order when i called them, but the restaurant "doesn't use doordash"). Very shady people, sad because i heard the food was good. But nah, I'll take my business back to the city where people know how to treat their customers with respect. Hope they have the profits they deserve for...
