Blackdove Coffee — Restaurant in Mukilteo

I decided to deviate from my normal coffee place this morning and stopped at BlackDove. I ordered a 20 oz decaf honey vanilla latte. The barista asked if I wanted it hot or iced and I replied hot. She made the latte, surprisingly fast, and then off I went towards my office. About 5 mins away from the stand, I took a sip. And the latte was completely cold. Not lukewarm, not iced, but cold. It was in a hot cup with no ice, so there clearly wasn't a miscommunication. The latte was just simply not warmed up at all for some bizarre reason. Now just a few minutes from my office, I had to change course and go head to my normal coffee place to replace this cold latte with a hot one. This threw a total wrinkle into my morning and I ended up spending 2x as much on my normal coffee. Unfortunately this experience makes me disinclined to come back to...

I enjoy lotus drinks year round. So when I came and asked for a 24oz lotus, I thought I'd be getting a good drink. Little did I know they give you about 8-12oz of actual drink and the rest is ice. And if you ask for lite ice, they charge you an extra $1.50 on a $7 drink.

Not to mention there are black and brown specks in my drink??? I don't know if the ice is dirty, or the mixing cup, or they use some old syrup, or what... But as my ice melts more and more solidifies on the bottom of my drink. So likely the ice. So I guess you have to pay extra for a clean drink without ice?

The baristas were nice and welcoming, and asked about my day so I appreciated that!

I live locally and was excited to try a new stand. I was a barista for over 13 years AND loved visiting new stands to support local businesses. If you are ok with spending almost double what you can get at Starbuck's (who is consistent and friendly) then this is your place! a 24 ox quad iced Americano with 3 splenda cream and extra ice was almost $8. That is the most expensive Americano I have ever purchased. We ordered 2 and spent $20 to included a tip. Both drinks were ordered t be the same and both drinks tasted differently. We will not be back. We will continue our business at the Starbuck's or Gourmet Latte where our drink...
