Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame in last Sunday early afternoon, only one male server who seemed to be the only employee (host, server, bartender and expo). Told us to sit wherever and he would come find us. At this point there was probably 3 tables including ours.
Not too bad of a start, took our drink order, made some comments that at first we took as dry humor but it progressively seemed like we were inconveniencing him with any questions. Started to run back to the bar without asking If we wanted apps which we did so we asked him to add them. Got our drinks and apps and then wanted to order entrees as well. Had to track him down to put in the entree order, never asked if we wanted another drink. We arrived at 1130, probably put in our entree order at 1230, it got to be 1250 and the restaurant had gotten pretty busy. We could see our food sitting in the window but definitely understand it was a one man show. After waiting another 10 mins we asked if we could get the food to go cause some people in the group were catching a flight at Payne Field. He barely looked at us and just said yup. Another 10 mins pass by without our food (which once again had been sitting in the window for probably 30 mins at this point). He comes back empty handed still and at this point we asked if we could just take the entrees off and pay for the food/drinks we had had so that we could get going asap. He was extremely rude about this but returned our check with only the drinks (though we would have paid for the appetizers...)
Overall some of the worst service I've ever had. Though he was certainly understaffed his treatment and attitude towards us was totally unacceptable. Would recommend going anywhere else as long as this guy still works here and staffing is an issue. Love lodge and their food but this made me never want to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time here, pretty good experience! We were a group of 7 people and we sat in the semi-private room in the very back, pretty spacious and next to big windows so had lots of natural light. Calamari had a good crunch to it, I liked that there were some bell peppers mixed in, sauce dip paired nicely. The poutine wasnāt what we expected, no cheese curd chunks itās a wetter cheese sauce drizzled on top and interesting shaped potato wedges, almost a little bit lopsided I would say? š¤š it was unique, a bit salty but the gravy had a good umami taste to it, there was a good amount of shredded beef so it was well-portioned as a shareable dish for us all. The lavender gin daisy was alright, tasted more like lemonadeā¦but the Thai pepper 10oz steak was amazing! A lot yummier than expected, itās topped with delicious shiitake mushrooms, the fingerling potatoes were cooked perfectly (not too mushy but still has a tender chew to it), the seasonal veggie was asparagus and it was fresh and crunchy (I hate when itās old fibrous, which wasnāt the case thankfully!) but wish there was a bigger portion of green/variety of veggies. The sauce was on the salty side but flavor profile wise was to die for! Much tastier than expected, would come back again for this steak! Was craving steak and this definitely satisfied that craving haha My boyfriend got The Lodge Burger which was not bad, didnāt taste much different with the elk though maybe they just donāt put very much? (The waitress who helped us even said there isnāt much taste difference compared to a regular steak burger...
