Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Muncie

Brah, I never write reviews, but here we are. I came here with friends and everything was going well, until ... We were sat in a booth with a server who we overheard was new. That would have been fine; however, it was not, because it was not her section. We were served incorrect dishes, my friend had to wait for forty minutes for her dish after everyone got theirs, and we were not waited on. Additionally, once our server let the manager know that we were having troubles at our table—we had a fifteen-minute back-and-forth regarding payment, and once everything was said and done, they said that the manager would have to do their job to split our bill, and apparently that was far too hard—they recommended that one person pays for multiple people and they pay them back through Venmo, CashApp, etc. Finally, as we were attempting to leave, the manager brings our new server over and says, "hey guys, how did she do, you can be honest," facilitating the most awkward and strange encounter I have ever had at a restaurant. Absolute SHAME on that manager—you know who you are—for leaving that worker to navigate a whole new section with a group of nine on their own. Furthermore, you pushed the outcome of your mismanagement onto your worker, embarrassing and demeaning her. Instead of flaunting your deplorable inability to take responsibility, you should have compensated my friend's meal. You should have apologized for the poor service, saying, "I am so sorry for your poor experience, that server is new and I should not have put her there." Instead, you brought her to the table so you could cast blame upon her. The weight of your audacity could crush an elephant. I pray you learn to carry...

We went in as a party of 7. The hostess seated us right away, then actually moved us to a bigger table that seated us a lot more comfortably. We were served our drinks then our order was placed and everything was great up to this point in time. After we had placed our order and had been setting there waiting for our food the shift manager came up to our table being very rude and loud and started scolding us for being a party of 7 setting at the same table with the child in our party being 4 years old. She went on to make a big scene over some supposed CDC guideline that they were not allowed to seat over 6 people at a table due to Covid Restrictions Bla Bla Bla. She then told us she was going to let it slide this time but if CDC came in to inspect the facility that one of us would need to leave the table and go to the restroom or something for a few minutes as she could loose her license and be fined for it. She did this to 3 other tables as well. Totally embarrassing all of us that she was yelling at. First off none of us were aware of any such CDC order of only 6 at at table, Second of all it was her employees that were seating everyone. None of which had anything to do with us at all. One would think that the Hostesses that were seating people would be aware of this if it were actually true? No we won't go back there and certainly do not recommend this place for family dining. Food wasn't that great either. we spent over $75.00 just to be embarrassed and insulted by someone who obviously has serious personal issues. I need to give the biggest shout out to CHILIS here in muncie. My little man has struggled for months with contact from anyone and for the past two days I've asked him what restaurant he wanted his birthday dinner at. He chose chilis and we weren't really sure why until, we get there and for some reason and what I can only put it to as GODS way of working, he attached to almost every woman working in that place. He walked up to them and told them he loved them kissed and hugged them. My momma heart melted beyond words and I fought back the tears so hard. Two woman very special woman I will say Holly and Gracie!!! Two of the most sweetest amazing woman of all. Held him, loved on him, sat on the floor and rubbed his back, said they loved him, offered discounts to us, told me I was an amazing mother, the list goes on but the words can not explain how much they made this night for him. When we left he said I want my girls to play pop my pig with me, the new game he got today for his bday.( pop the pig). He had the BEST BEST time and I feel like GOD put my baby in there for a reason and blessed him with a peacefulness and calmness he hasn't been able to find in MONTHS.
