We used to eat at this establishment often however our recent issue is one reason that has dwindled and we won’t be going back anymore.
We ordered our food 1/2 original 1/2 spicy crispy with mash and gravy, green beans and baked beans. What we got was ALL ORIGINAL, MAC, Green beans and potato wedges. When we called the mgr was understanding as the order was similar to another’s. She informed us we could get our whole meal replaced and we explained it would be a few days however as we were not driving back up there that night. No issue…? Fast forward today 10-11-2021 my wife goes to get our food. (2nd trip to get order correct? Mgr explained to wife company policy states we have to get messed up order the day. (Not what we were told when I called about order). Regardless the food is bagged and again passed to my wife whom after dealing with mgr at store was just ready to be home after a long day. We open the food and we’ll you guessed it it was completely wrong AGAIN! So here I am after calling the store and having the same mgr explain to me “IM DOING YOU A FAVOR BY REPLACING YOUR FOOD TODAY”. Excuse me? How are you doing is a favor by messing our order up twice, arguing with not only my wife in person but myself when I called about the food. We used our gas to commute to your establishment, we used our money to order food from your franchise that MESSED THE ORDER UP TWICE! Not sure this is the type of franchise LEES would want representing them?! I’ve now left a msg with what the mgr claims is Van (the franchise owner). I’ll await his return call before contacting the actual Company of LEES about its franchise in Muncie Indiana. No bringing the food back up to get corrected wasn’t an option a 2nd time, we didn’t want our food spit...
Read moreI have gotten plenty of good meals from Lee's Famous Recipe. However it's touch and go when it comes to freshness and quality of food. For instance we had some with bad gizzards. Call to let them know. Was given many reasons why our complaint probably wasn't true, but nevertheless they sent us a card for replacement gizzard. About three weeks later was on the north side of town being as we live out towards Cowan. Anyways we're headed over to order just the large gizzard. Lord and behold they were hard nasty and old . Like I said there have been plenty of times I've gotten really good chicken here at this store on wheeling. I will say they have a manager that seems to care a lot about his customers. This young man got smart with me twice in person and over the phone. Yesterday, my Chicken was Old, look good on the outside but was Old, had to take it back. Both orders total 50 dollars and some cents. When I asked this person if I could get a drink on Lee's, he told me "yeah, if you pay for it". He could of said "no I'm sorry you would have to pay for that or let me ask the head manager about this.
