I worked at Bob Evan for almost a month. I recently walked out because the general manager and her assistants lied on me. The assistants told her I never do my job. I always have an attitude I got into an argument with another employee. When I tried to explain my side of the story to let her know I do my job. I don’t sit around and talk to the other employees because they don’t do anything but sit around and gossip til you walk into the room. One of the managers her name is Jamie she’s the one that lied. 8/9/25 I worked night shift I went in I kept to myself. I had just clocked in. At Bob Evans you make tips. And you have a section that you serve and take there orders. I got in and I just clocked in the Jamie girl like can you come and bust some of these tables. Mind you I just clocked in and I haven’t been here to even start busting tables. The person that’s making the tip needs to stay on top of there tables. I told her those aren’t my tables. And then when it’s time for me to leave I cleaned my section. The assistant manger and employee told me to wipe the seats off. I wiped them off the employee like you see between the seat thats what I’m talking about. If you go into that Bob Evans and look on the side of their booths seats you will see all type of trash and sticky stuff. Which has been there since I got there. I’ve never seen not one employee clean between the seats. So the next day Marissa and Jamie decided to go tell the GM that I got into an argument and I don’t be doing my section properly and I have customers waiting. I tried to explain none of what they’re saying is true. She gone say these are my assistants I believe everything they said. I said well do yall have cameras. She said NO. I said I never argued with the other employee you can call her in here and I do my job. I did admit that I said that the section wasn’t mine. But the girl gone say I told her No. so when I said call the other employee she gone say I’m not calling anyone in here this has to do with you. Then she telling me she’s gonna talk and I’m gonna listen. She didn’t want to hear anything I had to say. Then the gm said she had tons of calls of customers complaining on me. Which is a lie every customer I had on 8/9/25 left me tips. And gave me compliments about how I’m good server. And how I got them there food at a decent time She thinks it’s okay to talk to employees any kind of way especially to black people. I’m not the only employee that has walked out. Because she thinks because she’s the gm she owns the store.I reached out to her boss and I will be letting him...
Read moreBefore being served, I overheard a waitress say to another table, “it is what it is and I can’t help it, just going to have to deal with it,” after talking about being busy and understaffed. I thought to myself that I might of gotten that out of context and there was no way a waitress would say something as such to customers, but when I looked around at the faces of customers at surrounding tables, I realized I wasn’t the only one who heard it nor thought, “did she really just say that?” Turns out, she was our waitress. We should’ve left. I’m a young adult, college student. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t need to be talked down to like I am child, nor do my friends. When our waitress started debating with my friend, who wanted to order some extra food, I then thought once again, “did she really just say that?” It’s Sunday morning, church crowd. There’s a lot of people. Understaffed and in a rush. Been there, done that. But regardless of your “busy” and “staff” status, customer service should always be at the top. There were many things wrong with our food, which is not necessarily the server’s complete fault. Undercooked meat, missing items (toast), hair in the food, and the wrong meal, yes literally the wrong meal. We didn’t say anything because, been there done that, we know how that goes down. And we had been there long enough, we didn’t want to have to stay any longer. I wish I could say this experience will not turn me away from going to Bob Evan’s here in Muncie again, but sadly I probably won’t. And to our waitress, Jennifer, I hope it was just a rough day for you and that your service isn’t as such...
Read moreI just attempted to order the holiday celebration platter from this location because I'm a disabled solo parent, and wanted to have a Thanksgiving meal with my son, and was told the Holiday Celebration platter is not available at this time, however they're more than willing to go ahead and take care of the $94 family platter! That's an intentional rip-off and intentional gouging of customers! I've never been more disgusted with the restaurant in my life, and I don't think anybody that follows my review platform should ever visit another Bob Evans restaurant again. BTW..I just called this location and they told me that they do have the platter available in restaurant for purchased for time in customers but they're not going to deliver it for delivery customers? But they'll deliver the $94 platter or family meal? This is absolutely a violation of ethics and a disgusting acts that is now ruined a Thanksgiving day that I have planned out being that this meal is saved as my favorite for reordering! I don't think I'll ever eat from them again because how the hell can you make up a Thanksgiving Day meal when Thanksgiving only...
