Hobby Lobby — Local services in Muncie

The store has improved a great deal since the new manager has taken over. It use to be a very unfriendly place to shop to the point myself and most of my art friends were going to Anderson to shop. The new manager has gone out of his way to make everyone feel welcome again. Most of the employees are very friendly but they are high school or college students and the majority don't know anything about the merchandise they carry, where to find anything or what department something might be in. You have to watch real close when your sale is being rung up to make sure you get the sale prices and discounts, I have to go back often for adjustments because I am overcharged but they are always friendly. Since I live a good distance from the store I always check my receipt as soon as I get to my car.

Everyday prices are high and a lot of the merchandise they carry is cheap reproduction junk from China and other places that have child labor. Wish they would concentrate on being a true art/craft store.

They have a limited supply of rubber stamps, stained glass, Sizzix dies. A nice selection of scrapbook paper and jewelry supplies. Holiday items are usually plentiful and marked down early.

Their ad comes out in the Sunday paper or you can get it online or sent to your email. They have a 40% off one item coupon each week but will not accept competitors coupons like Joanns will. You can use the coupon once each day...

Hello all. This Hobby Lobby has a professional staff who stopped what they were doing to assist us and genuinely provided exceptional customer service. Although things were 50% off (florals) the pricing and actual florals didnt always match. One stem with two flowers was 14.99 when one similar was the same floral setting but was marked 6.99...both 50% off. Begs to question that the 6.99 was the actual original price but the quantity didnt match the pricing. I know flower shopping can be expensive but the markup price and sale price doesn't make sense. The margins are more in favor for retail than the customer. Just saying. Overall though, I continually return becuase you can find some pretty darn good value and sale(s) on other items. I would normally give them five stars… I have always loved Hobby Lobby, and shopped them regularly, however lately I am less than impressed. Since the company took away the monthly online coupon for 40% off one regular priced item, things have gone downhill. Today, we shopped hoping to purchase Christmas items at the 75-90% off price we were told would happen the day after Christmas… but we found the prices were still at 66% off! The cashier told us when we paid for our purchases a few days before Christmas, that the prices would go down the day after, and confirmed it with a key holder standing nearby.
