Dunkin' — Restaurant in Mundelein

I’ll start by saying this, I always do enjoy the coffee when I go there and the service can be a hit or miss, depending on which employee is there. I’ve met some very kind, hardworking ones and some, not so much. There is an older guy that works in the afternoons (only time of day I’ve seen him) and he is EXTREMELY RUDE. He rushes you and gets annoyed when you ask for more than one thing. Alright, whatever.

Now, to the reason I decided to finally write this review, was based off of a drink I got today (3/12/25) for my son. He asked me for a lemonade and so, we stopped by. First of all, a small lemonade was $4. What I got, tasted like store bought lemon juice mixed with dirty dish water. I was appalled at how disgusting it was. I felt so bad for my kid after trying it myself. The audacity to charge that much for a small just to have it taste like garbage. I’ll be going to a different location from now on. Highly disappointed.

My experiences at this location have overall been good. When I order at the window and check my order before I leave it's normally perfect. I do not suggest you order on the app because the time "saved" by pre order is spent threefold when attempting to communicate an order issue with the window person. Don't even try to ask for help with a credit for a unavailable item ordered online because Dunkin' employees have no clue about... nor care to know, about the online services. Don't ask for contact information as the window person two weeks ago told me so very curtly "No I'm not going to give you anything, why would I ? You need to go online on your phone and look it up!". Then she shut the window and walked away. Thank you Dunkin' for that helpful information the employee is a one star and the processes in place are two stars. The coffee is five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Go inside your sanity...

I really like this Dunkin. There’s one closer to my house where the drive through line goes around the building practically and it used to make me late to work (my bad). But I come here now and the people that work here are so quick and work really hard. They have made the best mocha for me, believe me, I’ve had other Dunkin’s mochas. I always know that when I come here for morning mocha, they will get it not just right, but PERFECT!!! UPDATE: I come here like 2-3 times a week and the cashier has now memorized my order. She is so sweet, and I hope these employees are appreciated so much by the customers. When you go someplace whether it be shopping, a restaurant, a coffee shop, the general attitude of employees really does impact one’s day.
