Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Mundelein

Absolutely negative drive through experience. Me and my son visited this restaurant location on 07/17/2020 around 3:30 PM to buy one of the specials they promoted on their website. When I paid my bill at drive through window, I showed coupon on my phone, there is a unique number generated which stays valid for 15 minutes only. Cashier told me that she already applied it . When I asked why the price is still looks high, she responded that it is because of the tax added. After I retrieved receipt and checked the price I found that the tax is 80 cents only and I was overcharged by two dollars,because promo code was not applied . I had to return back and asked to adjust the price accordingly. Cashier called the manager and he told me that I have to announce coupon and provide code when I am ordering at the beginning on the line through the mic. I asked them to show were it stated that I have to do like that. They never responded me back on my question. After I agreed to go and reorder again and return current order, they finally agreed to reimburse me two dollars back. Also want to mention, that there was no requested sauces in the bag and I had to request them again. I found that because I had such experience before with them, when they forgot to put in bag sauce or one or two pieces of chicken. FInally - they never returned me back my receipt -just left my receipt with them.

Advice - avoid this restaurant location if possible - to not be dissapointed like me at the middle of the nice and sunny July Friday evening. But if you still decide to go, please check your order receipt twice and what is in your bag and be ready to proof your rights...

when I arrived at the Popeye's restaurant the dining was open it was 9: 30 and I went up to the gentleman and I told him I needed a number 5 which was a 3 Wing meal I had a coupon that says purchase a three piece chicken it did not say anything else there be chicken when I purchased that I would get a two-piece free so I did that that troubles using the credit card machine you never gave me my receipt because when I got home I only went there to Popeyes anywhere else it was no receipt in my things and when I went back to the store she lied to me she said that we only give out makes chicken she didn't tell me that at the time I made the purchase and I asked for a number 5 I specifically said I want a number 5 through in order and the other one whatever you give away for free cuz it said purchased 3 piece chicken and did not say mixed the three pieces of chicken it doesn't say specifically mix there I had do have a coupon that says two can dine mixture chicken that did not say mixed chicken and said chicken or shrimp three-piece and so she gave me whatever she wanted she didn't tell me that she wasn't I got home and checked my bank account and I have my bank statement telling me that they charged me $8. 45 on top of that and just give me what they wanted to they gave me random chicken and I asked for that specific number 5 and then they told me I should know this

This was my first time coming to this Popeyes. I went through the drive through and got my food which I ordered online, but I quickly realized I did not receive my drink. I was willing to go back through the drive through, but when I went back around there was about 6-8 cars. I decided to go in, the doors were locked. The sign says doors lock at 9:30, and it was about 9:16. So I decided to knock and I received no response for about 5 minutes. Finally, after ignoring me the worker just points to the drive through. I went to the drive through and waited for about 5 minutes to get to the speaker. I explained the situation and the guy said I forgot the drink, I corrected him and said HE forgot the drink, then when I explained it was the mobile order he said okay and asked me what I had and to wait in the line which was moving very slowly just to receive my strawberry lemonade that they forgot. I asked if they could just bring it out, as I already received my food. He says no and the people in the store were laughing. I said I will call corporate, and his response was “why”.
