My job requires I wear steel toe boots or shoes. I initially went in the 1st time hopeful they'd have the shoes I wear. They don't carry them. I selected a pair/ordered from the small womens section guessing on the size I'd need to the size I wear as they don't have a woman's shoe sizer. I know every brand is sized different. I felt comfortable they'd fit. I also bought some insoles that were the same brand as the shoes I ordered and also on sale. They didn't bother to tell me I couldn't return the insoles before I bought them. The FOR SALE sign for the insoles didn't state..NO RETURNS either. They only have a shoe sizer for men for Timberland shoes/boots only. Why not have a universal each, one for men and one for women? 2nd trip to pick them up when they came in. I didnt try them on when I picked them up. My mistake. The following Monday, I call them and let them know they don't fit and ask if I could go ahead and order my 2nd choice in a larger size and pay the difference. The first woman I talked to told me I could. I told her Id get the info and call her back. A few minutes later, a woman calls me back and tells me I have to bring in the pair that don't fit, order the pair I want and pay the difference. She wasn't very friendly about it. 3rd trip for the return, I let them know how frustrating that was for me as they don't have larger sizes than a 10 or 1/2 sizes to try on in store and cant order 1/2 sizes, no shoe sizer and more than 2 trips would be required. Low and behold, I couldn't return the insoles with the shoes I returned because they were on sale. I didn't wear/use them! Again, I wasn't informed of that before I bought them. So i ordered a larger size than the previous shoe hoping itll fit. At checkout, I pay the difference and was told I wouldnt be able to return those if they dont fit, even with non-wear. 1 return policy!! REALLY!! 😡 4th trip today to pick them up. If they're too big, I guess Ill put them online and sell them. I live an hour away and it's out of my way from work. ILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN!! 😡 How do they stay in business? Read moreWent to Hayes shoes on old fort parkway in Murfreesboro tn on 04/09/22 with my husband. We both needed boots for work. Walked in the store and was welcomed by the young lady, the older lady, and youn man sitting there. I specifically want some Jestin boots and my husband wanted a certain brand as well. The young lady bought me a pair of Jestin boots and 2 other pairs also. I tried the Jestin boots on which didn't fit well to me. Well the older lady was in a rush to get the boots away from me (as if I was about to steal them or something). She asked 2 times are you done with these boots, and told the young girl she can't have 3 pairs of boots there to try on. Which I only pointed out the boots I wanted to try on and didn't asked that all of them be bought out to me at the same time. Then this older woman (I think is the owner) tells me well you can't have the boxes of shoes on the floor. I'm looking around to see where she wanted them and realized the area you allowed in isn't bigger than my closet at home. Next the woman started saying we don't have the size you want without going to look. Bringing to me a medium in a boot I didn't want. To the old gal 👵🏻 at this location. If you have an issue with people that are more Tan than you than maybe you should put up a sign if you want us to stay way (problem solved). Or stay in the back of the store where u felt the need to pull the young lady that actually seem to do a better job at customer service than you. I was told by the young lady once she called to find out the price I was to be charged for the boots ( because the older girl was to incompetent to put the price in the system for them) that you have 72 hours to bring the boots back if your not comfortable with them. The receipt states differently though. Will return these on Monday 04/11/22 (due to the pressure on right big toe) being that they are closed on Sundays. Hopefully they will honor their word. Will update asap with results. UPDATE...I did return the boots with no problems 😊...and the money went back on my card...
Read moreI will never deal with agian for sure. Wife got me boots of their Truck at her work. Guy said of not right size, it wouldn't be a problem. Well guess what, it sure was. Told no money back and wouldn't change them out. Finally they did and my wife had them order her some at store for her work. Come in and they ordered wrong size. Then fought to get them order her the right ones. Get them finally and get them home and they have a defected sole with a massive knot in them. Told us they have already exchanged to many times and to kick rocks. Needless to say the first wrong shoe for wife was wrong and they didn't fill out the ticket properly. Then finally got the right after fighting and now it's actually right size but defected and they say o well. This was an hour and 15 minute drive one way for me and we made 3 diffrent trips up there to try to get the right stuff.TERRIBLE business and company. And only reason got a 1 star is cause had to. Also get same shoes online...
