I have been to this location 3xs, twice before the name change and once after. Prior to the name change, the food was good and there was an appropriate sized portion for the price being charged. Since the name change, the menu has changed and the restaurant seems to have lost its appeal.
We came in expecting to have a nice evening as we did the previous time, ordered a bottle of wine and then started looking at the menu. Looking through the menu, the options have changed dramatically and not in a positive direction. While we were looking, we ordered an appetizer. We settled on the Bruschetta and were very disappointed at the flavor (tomatoes did not seem fresh at all), the quantity (3), the price and the bread that it was served on was (by all accounts in my party) tasted stale. When we spoke with our server, having taken one bite each, the waitress was very accommodating and tried to make it right. We then tried the garlic bread which was just okay. At this point, we decided not to order anything else and ended up leaving and going to another Italian restaurant.
While I appreciate the economic issues that restaurants are handling, it doesn't change the desire for patrons to have a quality experience. If the bruschetta only has 3 pieces, indicate that on the menu. Check your bread stock and toast it to order. Even the website shows 5 pieces on the plate. I am more than happy to pay for a good meal as I enjoy treating myself, but the quality, presentation and quantity was not there. As much as I wanted to support this local business, I will likely not be going back. A note of clarification- My pricing selected for this survey per person is for the wine and app.
Another potential opportunity to create a unique dining experience would be to use the large long table in the middle as a community dining table experience. It is currently being used to hold decorations and to butt tables (that feel small) up against it. Many on trend restaurants are using these types of table as a gathering center and are...
Read moreWe have this place a second try and sadly we were super disappointed in the food. We had frequented Chefs Grille pretty regularly and loved the food and the service. Our first attempt was dinner and honestly my shrimp Capri was delicious. My husbands steak was terrible, flavorless, bland. The veggies underneath were undercooked and also flavorless. It was an expensive meal and he left hungry, it was nearly inedible. We thought maybe it’s because it’s new transition into Ronis and new menu…we decided to give them one more try. My husband ordered shrimp Capri this time because we remembered it was great. It was bland and not the same at all. It basically tasted like butter and salt was all they used for the sauce/broth, no seasoning or flavors. We were so bummed. We really wanted to like the place, but with high end prices w can’t give it a third shot. My salad was alright, the roasted Roma tomatoes seemed like they were canned instead of fresh. I’m not sure if they’re cutting corners on quality if ingredients or what, but it was not worth the bill. The first visit our service was pretty bad too. Never asked us if we wanted anything else just toss d the check down. The second time was alright, but nothing...
Read moreThis was our first time, and what a disappointment 😞. The atmosphere was not inviting at all. Minimal decor and feels cold. The menu was too complex. I do not understand what high end Italian food is? I ordered the most basic dish, thinking that they really can't mess it up. Boy, was I wrong. The quality overall is in the toilet. I left the majority of my dish which was a basic meatless lasagna. It was supposed to have a meat sauce, but the chef 👨🍳 must have been HAF. It was obviously made sometime ago, refrigerated and reheated. It looked like frozen leftovers. When the waitress came by to ask how everything was, I pointed out the lack of taste and quality and she got embarrassed for me and notified the manager. The manager came and tried to defend the dish and adamantly state he put the meat in it himself. I peeled back layer after layer showing nothing but old pasta stuck together with nearly no ingredients, cheese etc. between the layers. He stood there speechless and offered me a 10 dollar discount. My prediction is that it will be closed soon. Hopefully. Bring back the...
