Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors — Restaurant in Murrieta

We have been ordering from this location for years and have never had a problem until recently. The last few orders we’ve placed have been missing items, or our orders we’re just wrong, and today was not awesome. All main courses come with your choice of side of either white or brown rice, egg friend rice, or plain chow mein. Our order had 2 main courses with one side being white rice and the other side being plain chow mein. We also added an additional side of rice. That additional side of rice was charged, but not included in our order when I picked it up. In addition to this, one of our main courses was house beef with extra sauce and adding broccoli. This is something we’ve ordered regularly from any location for years and have never had a problem. For some reason this time we got a phone call saying they will charge us an additional $1.25 for the broccoli. I said ok, but we were basically asking for beef and broccoli with the house sauce instead of the sauce it comes with so I didn’t know why all of a sudden there was an additional charge. The person on the phone said oh ok no problem and hung up. We ended up with beef and broccoli, with the carrots, and not the house sauce. I know it’s tedious, but I used to work at another location and we made custom orders all the time because nothing is pre-made and it was never a problem, so it was super disappointing to have an order that was convenient for the restaurant and not what we were ordering. BLAND AND GROSS Today My mom surprised me at my home with pick up stix. First thing she said they change there containers. That was first disappointment seemed like smaller portions. We have always complained amongst ourselves regarding price for the portions now its even less food. We don't eat pick up stix often for that reason. Then I started eating I wasn't happy at all its not the same taste. The house special beef was dry really thick chewy and bland. The more I tried to eat it I got more grossed out by it. they also gave a tiny clear container of sauce smelled like teriyaki so I put that on hoping it would make it better. I said thats a first never been given that from a pick up stix. Big fail! Why change something that has been great for 30 something years. We both said no more pick up stix for us. I've eaten here before and it's been great. No complaints. Last night I go in and I see new people working. After eating I had to lie down and I was out like a light. My daughter was trying to get in touch w me but it was like I was drugged. Way too much MSG. I was in a hotel and a worker came to my door for a wellness check as I just didn't wake up. But when I did, at 2 am, my head was throbbing and I felt like I had a hang over. I don't drink or do drugs. Totally from the msg. Food tasted great but the after effect was too much. I have a headache again. And it's noon the following day. So if msg bothers you, I do not recommend this place unless they adjust the amount the use.
