Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Murrysville

We love Jimmy John’s! And eat at this particular location more than is reasonable. Typically once a week or so for a family of four. The prices aren’t the best but the food makes up for that.

I’m not one to leave reviews typically, but felt someone should know. We’ve watched this location’s customer service decline for months now and today was the worst experience I’ve had at any JJ.

First ordering through the drive through. (Typically we order through the app but today we were on the move and just stopped by) The lady taking the order was short and extremely rude acting as though every customization was a nuisance.

Then I was informed that we couldn’t get a sauce on a sandwich. Not that they were out but, that they had to control the promotional product and that sauce was reserved for a particular sandwich. I even asked if they could add it as an upcharge? Are you kidding me? What a poor customer service decision. On my $50 dollar order your telling me I can’t get a 2oz cup of sauce?

Then to top it off, after the longest wait we’ve ever experienced at any JJ the lady practically threw the box into our car and very rudely told me that it would be much better to order via the app next time, as though an order of 4 sandwiches was such a pain.

Bottom line is we probably spend a couple grand a year at this JJ. JJ has always been an easy decision for us. Now we will think twice before being a patron of this location.

Never have posted a negative review about any establishment, but Jimmy John’s went above and beyond to deserve this one. We ordered with one car ahead of us in the drive thru and almost immediately were paying at the window. After paying I could see they were working on a catering order and nothing else. They proceed to fill 3 large boxes of subs corder ignoring us. At one point somewhere between 10-20 minutes the young employee asked if I had already paid, so I became optimistic that our food was going to be completed. At this point this employee joined the other two in making subs for the catering order, not ours. The line was growing behind us and at no point were we told of the situation. I eventually got their attention through honking and knocking on the window and he explained they needed to fill this order before they could do ours. I drove off without our food as we were already late for a kids sporting event, approximately 30 minutes after placing our order. I called to complain on the way down the road and was told I could talk to their manager but would have to call back later. I did and was told I was credited and that the person waiting for the catering was inside waiting for it so they had to finish it. I imagine that customer has a story to tell of their own. This place cycles through employees and currently have a nice group of clowns...

We entered, no customers in there. All the tables had chairs placed on top of the tables. Ordered one #4turkey and cheese. One chx bacon ranch un bun. The turkey & cheese had minimal turkey , it was edible, however my husband was hungry. The un bun sandwich was wet with water. No ranch seasoning dry or wet. Maybe a Tbsp of canned chicken if that, like you buy in Walmart. Sparce and I mean sparce onions. Took it home and unwrapped the lettuce and 3 small pieces of tomato, layered paper towels to soak up the water best as I could. Helped a little. The bacon was slimey I threw it away. Yuck! Decided to make a salad. It was primarily a lettuce with lettuce that was soaked. Total cost, $23.47. David took our order. He was very nice. The other young man was very aloof looking at us like we were intrusive. I apologized for coming so late, thinking they closed at 8pm, as they had pretty much had the place closed up. I said do you close at 8? He said yes, only to see now they're open until 9. We told him we'd take our sandwiches home, as there was no where to sit. I understand that prices have gone up, but this place robs you! I want people to know what to expect if they decide to buy anything. BTW, water still running on my plate from all the wet lettuce!
