Sbarro Pizza — Restaurant in Myrtle Beach

Went here on Thursday August 28th 2025 with my parents. We were at the Coastal Grand Mall to see a showing of the Jaws 50th anniversary. Got there early to eat something beforehand and check out the mall and the other stores. Sbarro is located in the mall's food court, next to the Cinemark movie theater. Sbarro is basically an Italian Pizzeria, with other options like pasta and mac and cheese. It is a NY style pizza. Oh, and the first time at this location, but i've been to just one other location. Greeted by a smiling face, I decided on a slice of veggie pizza. My dad got a veggie pizza also, and a stromboli plus mac and cheese. My mom shared the stromboli and had white pizza. We paid via credit card, and prices weren't bad. We ate at one of the tables at the food court. I enjoyed my veggie slice. Simply tried to order an order of breadsticks for $2.99. The African American woman cashier said it cost $4.70. After I explain the sign above her head said she’s incorrect, she got all huffy puffy and said “no sir, taxes”. I raise my eyebrow, realizing this woman truly believed in her very intelligent head that tax was 70%, I asked for a manager. Then the most bizarre thing happened; even had the manager said I’m wrong! I walked away, laughing at how dumb the whole situation was. A second later, they finally realized they were wrong and asked me to come back and pay. I literally took 3 steps towards Chic-Fil-A and ordered from them instead.

The African American girl with The Red hair or red hairline was beyond rude as she proceeded to step away from her register to refill free drinks to more than one person while my family and I were in line waiting to order so when she decided that she had enough of taking new orders she proceeded to ask her coworker who was busy doing her responsibilities to ask us if we were placing a order or not as if I was in line to ask her about her red hair,I mean why else would I be in line because it wasn't for a refill like the other people that were not even in line they would walk up straight to the counter and say refill and she would abandon her post to give out free refills because in her mind losing out on new sales is better that making the line jumping refill customers wait.
