Asian City Grill & Sushi

This was my first visit to Asian City. And this will not be my last visit.

The experience was all positive. A friend and I visit a restaurant every Thursday to enjoy a good lunch and to spend time together.

Both of us were happy with the food, service, and the ambiance of the restaurant.

My selection was the Kung Pao chicken. One of the best Asian meals I have had in Nacogdoches. A bit of a kick in spicy flavors which satisfied my New Orleans’ taste buds. The lunch comes with a soup or salad. My selection was the salad with Ranch dressing. Salad was served chilled and was satisfying. Also you may select Fried or Steamed rice delivered in a separate bowl. My Fried rice was prepared properly and I added Soy Sauce that made it even better.

Portions are generous and filling.

My lunch partner had a Beef dish with an order of Egg Rolls. He was as satisfied as I was with the meal.

The cost of the meal was very reasonable considering the flavor, amount, and added selections.

Cindy our server was attentive and the fact she was asking about a second glass of Iced Tea before I finished the first was nice. Always love a place where I don’t have to seek out the server for a refill.

Since we meet to converse and have a good time it was also a positive experience not having to compete with any TVs or loud music.

Hoping a return visit will be just as good and an opportunity to enjoy other delicacies on the menu.

My boyfriend and I go here all the time! The sushi is his go to and the chicken fried rice is mine, we normally get clear soup as a starter and by the time we finish our soup we get our food! The waitress is super nice and the service is even nicer. I personally love when waitresses don’t hover over your table and ask how everything is every 3 minutes and Asian city has a great balance of checking in on you. While the restaurant does get busy the wait times are still fairly low. It always warms my heart to see this restaurant get busy because it make me happy seeing such a great restaurant getting the attention it deserves. The restaurants aesthetic is very nice and the water fountain adds great background noise. For us it is also greatly affordable in the world we’re living in. For around five items our bill is almost $40 and the amount of food you get in each portion and how good the food is makes...

So, we tried to go to a different resturant and found it was closed for the holiday. We decided to try Asian City and found it to be as delicious and inviting as the other sushi bar in town. We ordered sashimi while we waited for our sushi rolls. The fish was very fresh and cut to be extremely tender. The pepper tuna was cooked which was surprising but it was very good. There is free sake with meals on Sunday and Monday so we had that with the sashimi as well. We took a few rolls home with pot stickers and clear soup. The pot stickers were nice and crisp and the sauce was great. The soup had just a few onions and mushrooms giving it a nice fresh taste.
