I’ll start this off with the Pros: -the coffee is good -most of the staff is friendly Now the cons: -the environment makes me uncomfortable. Today I went in and sat at the big table because it was the only table available near a plug. Everything was great until the manager walked in. She made a bee line for the table until she saw me sitting there and made a face. I could tell she was upset that someone was sitting where the employees sometimes sit, however there wasn’t a need for the hostility. There was plenty of room for her to sit or if the big table is reserved for employees or her entitled self just say so. Make a note for every patron to know that the big table is only for the manager, the employees and whoever the manager thinks is worthy of sitting there. When someone from the smaller tables left, I moved my stuff over to that table. One of the employees called to the manager and said a table was open, she then stomped over with her stuff to the big table. I understand if she was having a rough day but getting upset and acting entitled to the big table is ridiculous, especially for a manager. If the big table is strictly for the manager, the people she likes, employees and friends of employees just say that, because making customers feel uncomfortable is just rude and bad for business. To the manager if you read this please take into consideration your entitlement and rudeness next time, it’s not my fault you’re in a bad mood. Not only did you make me uncomfortable and give me major anxiety but you made it to where I’d rather buy coffee anywhere else before I have to interact...
Read moreIn addition to having excellent coffee and friendly service, this is a really inviting space that fosters a sense of community. I come here regularly both to work and to meet with friends. It's a really simple, cheerful, and charming space with lots of natural light and comfortable seating, local art decorating the walls and hammocks, games, and books available in the lower room. As for the menu, there is definitely a spirit of innovation with new creations offered seasonally along classic standbys. What makes this cafe stand out in Nacogdoches is the food - yes, the muffins and pastries are pretty tasty- but there are other more nutritious options like avocado toast and varied options such as the "graze box" consisting of good quality meats, cheeses, hummus, grapes, peppers, and a little bit of chocolate. The prices are better than many coffee shops around. I would like to continue to see more variety in the food offerings- maybe oatmeals, more hearty salads, a quinoa bowl of some kind on rotation with the other items (I was unimpressed with the "seasonal salad"- mostly just lettuce, not enough substance). Last thing I will comment on is that this coffee shop participates in community partnerships and really seems to practice local sourcing as much as possible, and they advertise special events and opportunities each month. All in all 5 stars, a stand-out coffee shop we are blessed to...

I went to Grease Monkey to get my vehicle inspected and Amanda who works there recommended UC's Blueberry Pancake iced latte. When I say it's in walking distance it's literally right next door.
I'm thinking to myself fruit and coffee..that's an odd combination I don't think I could do. But, after her talking it up. I was intrigued so I had to try it.
Walking in with my toddler the atmosphere seemed calm. There was a large back entrance where a couple of college kids were reading, and a hallway that led to where you order. The place is way bigger than what you would imagine. Lots of seating and rooms.
Everyone that I came into contact with was so friendly! I felt right at home. I meant to just quickly get my coffee and go but, they have these soft gray couches that sort of call out to you. I made the mistake of sitting down and ended up staying for 15 minutes.
I'll definitely be back! The coffee was great, and the free WiFi kept the little one...
