I wanted to love it. But I'm just not impressed at all. When it 1st opened the line was backed up to the highway. I had to wait until all that stopped before I could finally try the food here. Because the one time I did get in line, I waited 45 minutes before I finally pulled out of the line and went somewhere else. As for the food, the chicken sandwich certainly isn't chick-fil-a, I can promise you that. It's a very thin slice of chicken on very basic bread. Speaking of thin, that's also what the fries are. They're tiny actually. Tiny thin midget size French fries. And the sauce for the fries includes HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP- plus a bazillion other toxins & chemicals- thanks, that's just what my kids need *rolling my eyes* When the worker asked me what drinks I wanted, I looked over the whole entire menu & there was NO drinks listed. So he said they have Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, & 1 other soda. I said "That's it?!?! Only 3 sodas??? So you have kids meals, but no kid drinks. Oh ok." He then tells me they also have Pink Lemonade. I said, ok give me that. After the 1st sip, I knew it was ONLY Lemonade- not PINK Lemonade. Thanks for letting me pay for something I didn't order. I just can't bring myself to eat here again. People are only eating here because it's somewhere different- not because the food is amazing (because it's not) And we're all right here in Nac-a-nowhere where the options are extremely limited. The food is very basic. Very ordinary. Plain jane. Nothing spectacular. It's just "something new."

My wife and I dined at Freddy's tonight. The meal was fine. As we were leaving I noticed a sign next to the exit indicating that Mondays are Military Monday with a 15% discount. I was wearing a very distinctive Veteran's hat that clearly said US Army, Proudly Served, and Veteran all in big letters, and even included my rank insignia and an Eagle crest. When I asked the two very young cashiers about it they said that I have to tell them when I order. I pointed to the hat and apparently they don't understand what veteran, proudly served, or United States Army mean, because they said they didn't understand what the hat said. If the sign had been visible when I entered the restaurant, I would clearly have said something when ordering. To advertise that the founder was a veteran, I would think that the employees would understand the term veteran on a hat and ask whether the person is a veteran. I can't count the number of times that I have gone into other restaurants and businesses wearing a veteran hat and have had the staff recognize it and ask me if I am veteran and voluntarily provide a discount.

I wanted to love this place. I researched their gluten-free menu and it mentioned to order your burger protein style (wrapped in lettuce) or salad style (on a bed of lettuce) s9 I chose protein style. I got home and of course, there was a big bun staring at me in the face. Thank goodness I only have a sensitivity and I'm not celiac. I just removed the bun myself. Gluten-Free Nacogdoches, please order VERY carefully. The onions were so potent. I ended up taking them off. Then the burger was bland - so I put some back on. The fries were a great texture. I loved how thin they were. But, they lacked salt. The best thing about this meal was the fry sauce. I also wanted to try the jalapeño fry sauce but, they said they ran out. (This was day two of being open) Hope they work out the kinks soon. In their defense it was only day two of opening.

My recent visit to Freddy's Steakburgers in Nacogdoches left much to be desired. I encountered a series of service issues that made the experience less than satisfactory. One notable problem was the staff's lack of attentiveness. The employee responsible for directing the drive-thru line was frequently absent, leaving customers waiting as they smoked cigarettes behind the fence. Meanwhile, the person taking orders in the drive-thru seemed unbothered, resulting in an exceptionally slow order-taking process, despite a long line of cars wrapped around the building.

In the end, it took a staggering 30 minutes for me to receive my burger and fries through the drive thru, and to make matters worse, they seemed unprepared when I mentioned my name at the window. This lack of coordination and customer service left me thoroughly disappointed with my visit.

I believe that constructive feedback can be valuable for improvement, so I hope the management at Freddy's Steakburgers takes these issues into consideration to provide a better experience for their patrons in the future. I know this is a new establishment but there is a lot of progress that...
