Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Nacogdoches

Unbelievable management at this place. They were out of waffle cones (which are included) and the manager insisted on charging to substitute waffle bowls - the same exact thing I’m a different form. And they were out of our 2 favorite ice creams, so we were going to get substitutes - $50 worth of ice cream to take home - all of which we left without purchasing (with mixins so hopefully the staff likes the flavors - sinful to waste all that). The manager talked to me personally on the employee’s cell phone (super unprofessional) just to confirm that policy. Worst manager I’ve ever heard of in the food industry and I do hope he is out of a job soon - for the sake of the owners of this place. We are regulars and now not only will we never be back, I will be sure to share how horribly they treat their customers the next time anyone mentions the place. Such a shame since they are the only one in town.

And now, I’ve actually been further disrespected by a phone call from this manager’s Daddy who is the owner of the biz to reiterate his ridiculous “policy” and assure me that his son was going to make it right (which is a complete lie). Way to go, Randy! It just keeps getting better and better. I would call that harassment - “young lady, let me tell you our policy… (again!!!)”. Why bother??? Will not be coming back to this location. The customer service was terrible. I asked a girl for a chocolate shake made with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup (the way they should be made). I asked politely if she could do that and she then asks the other employee (male) if she could and he goes no and walks away. I thought they were joking. So I was like uh can you make it or what. She then preceded to argue that it was a vanilla shake instead of a chocolate shake (definitely chocolate). Other customers were also confused and even had to join in and say something. Staff was very friendly and informative especially since I took myself along with 3 of my grandsons and luckily they suggested the happy hour servings and it was half price!!! Were very friendly when we need to go tops and very kind and patient with the. 3 small boys when they messed up an extra table while I was finishing up with paying. I offered to clean it and they declined and politely and respectfully wiped it with pleasure. Will definitely be going back and will be getting a cake in my near future.
