The food is wonderful but here’s how our situation went. Got up to order (so I thought) when I started to speak the girl in the yellow t-shirt looked down and did not appear to be listening to me when I started to order, so I was waiting, then 2 people went ahead. I told the people I can just move up instead of you getting in front, then the girl (not the one in yellow) said she called them up. I apologized to the people that got in front of me as it wasn’t their fault. Then the girl behind the counter taking their order said she called me over and over and I was “ignoring her” and had a nasty tone toward me to which I said I was waiting for the girl in the yellow to which the girl in yellow just shrugged her shoulders. I never heard anyone calling me- it is a little noisy. I was very confused about the attitude as I had no idea what was going on or why those people had cut 2 more parties in line. I made a comment about them not being friendly to my mom, as she stated the day prior when she was there it was a similar experience. Then the girl taking the people’s orders in front of me refused to take my order, so the young man behind the counter took it. He was very pleasant and so was the cashier. I admitted to being confused about the process and definitely wondered (and still am) what the issue was with me and why those 2 girls refused to take my order even before saying anything to the first girl behind the counter in yellow I came across. Also.. oddly enough when I looked over the girl in the yellow was taking my friends order. The confusion is real in there and the 2 girls I encountered behind the counter seemed to lack empathy and patience as if I’m supposed to know how it all works. I am grateful for the cashier and the young man that took my order and...
Read moreThis was the first place I wanted to eat at when visiting OBX. Huge dissapointment and goes against all these other reviews, I know.
Ordered chicken and biscuit, they decided on their own to give me a cheddar. It wasn't a misunderstanding, I overheard them say they were out of regular to the customer ahead of me and decided rather than telling me that someone like me wouldnt complain or they didint care. Either way it tasted very mediocre. The quality of the chicken was that of a frozen breaded chicken patty you get at Costco, I dont get the hype. And the biscuit itself was stale and the cheddar, hard.
At the register I asked a question as a newbie and the lady was straight rude. She even started arguing and giving attitude to her own co-worker. First impression was that they treat people that look different, different but I've concluded that the ones I met today were just not nice.
As others may have mentioned the star of the show is actually the fried chicken. Not the people not the...
Read moreThis place is HORRIBLE!! If I could give it a negative number I sure would!! My fiancé went into the store to buy ONE can of Twisted tea! Not a 6, 12, or 24 pack! Just ONE can, the first thing the lady says to him is “You look drunk, I can’t sale you that!” First off, we have been at the ocean the majority of the day and he was in the water, so yes, he is gonna have red eyes! Second, he hadn’t even drunk anything, that’s why we were there to buy ONE can!! So when I went in there to ask for the managers number, she called it out so fast, like she didn’t want me to have it!! Second, when I ask for her name to put with the complaint I couldn’t get it. She tried to say she apologized to him when in fact she didn’t!!She made it to be a racial thing and it wasn’t even like that!! Customer service is more important to me than the color of someone’s skin!!! If you are out in the sun and water, I wouldn’t suggest stopping by there to get a can of anything!!!...
