Worst experience we've ever had at a boise fry. Will not be back for any reason.
I get that covid has messed up a lot, but how can businesses beg you to come patronize them when they are out of nearly everything? Maybe just close the business until you can properly stock if you need business so badly.
The cashier is absolutely the worst I think I've ever encountered at a boise Fry no less. He was clueless, disorganized and clearly has no business working in food.
The order process was an entire mess. First, the group ahead of us took at least 10 min to order. 10 min from the time we walked in. They were actually at the counter ordering BEFORE we even walked in so I have no idea how long it actually took them. The cashier had so much trouble just taking a basic order and kept interrupting them to tell them how to do the order differently. He did the same to us once it was our turn.
Our turn came to order. Of course a FRY COMPANY that we expect to have options had ONE option and apparently had been out of all other options for a while. Two people in our party ordered TAP WATER and he tried to sell us bottled water even though we said no several times. I ordered a ROOTBEER FLOAT (this is listed on the menu! With ice cream!). Cashier said they only had bottled rootbeer and I replied that was fine, assuming that the ice cream would just come in a separate cup and that the taps were off. We ordered one kind of sauce for the two orders of fries in our order, simple right?
When he was asked to repeat our entire, he read back a bottle of rootbeer. I corrected him that I ordered a float and he replied "we don't have ice cream." me- "it says you do right on the menu" (as I pointed to it. Cashier-"we've never had ice cream." Me - "yes you have. It's on your menu!" Cashier - "well we've never had it for as long as I've worked here." Me - "fine, take it off the order. I don't want a bottle of soda." and then he proceeded to still argue with me about not having ice cream. How do you work at a store for months and not know what's on an already limited menu?
Then even though another person in our party ordered Pepsi and we paid for it, he seemed to immediately forget about it and had to be asked FOUR times for it after we paid. I won't even get in to what a sh*t show getting basic tap water was.
Fast forward to the food coming out. Boy, we've never had burgers and fries that were soooooo bad from Boise Fry. The fries were soggy and tasteless. The burgers were poorly assembled and everyone in the party was really let down. My husband commented that the best thing about the burger was the pickles. He was working hard to hunt the good stuff.
The good - literally there were only two good things - the garlic aioli was on point as usual. And the staff member that brought our food out was insanely polite and happy.
But the rest of the experience was 100% the worst we've ever encountered at Boise Fry. We will never come back to this location. Five guys will be our go to,...
Read moreThe family in front of us took over 20 minutes to make their order. Not BFC fault. However, it was obvious that most of the staff was not trained and being trained on the spot. The counter person had to ask someone in the back for help each step of the way which made the process take much longer. We stood at the counter for over 10 minutes when it was our turn to order, while staff filled beverages for previous order. The helper person was here, and the people in the kitchen were not forfilling the order yet because they needed guidance from the one person on staff who seemed to have the know how. This person showed NO urgency. I would say this lack of good leadership put the worse taste in my mouth about the place. After waiting in line for 20 minutes and standing at the counter for 10 and still not being helped, we noticed the line of customers backed through the front door. We had to leave and go somewhere else for food. I would not recomend this location to anyone. I am not a person that demands the world bends at my will, but this was the most rediculous food experience I have ever had. I still have yet to try BFC, it may be a while before I make the attempt again. I would put zero stars but it makes me at least do...
Read moreI haven't been to the Nampa store for at least 2 years. When we walked up to the entrance, we were greeted by a nasty black grease trail on the sidewalk leading to the dirty glass door. Inside wasn't too bad, but compared to, say, McDonalds it was dreary and a bit depressing. Worn, dated etc. My wife and I ordered the deluxe regular hamburger from a person who didn't seem to want to be there. I asked for no sauce on mine. Hers was with a gluten free bun. We both ordered a small order of golden fries with drinks. The hamburgers were served hot off the grill and the fries dumped onto the platters as I went to pick them up. Both my wife and I were disappointed by the lack of quality beef. Chewy, sinuey and tasteless (except for the sauce that I asked to be left off but wasn't), it seemed of the lowest quality. The bun was good, as was the gluten free bun. My wife said it was the best she'd ever had. The fries were not hot, very greasy and not fully cooked. Limp and tasteless. To add to the unpleasant meal, the beverage dispenser was out of adjustment delivering too much carbonated water and too little syrup. The GF bun and the cheery fry cook were the only redeeming part of the experience. We exited for the...
