My wife and five of her friends went there last night for happy hour. The service was really good they really enjoyed all the appetizers and the drinks so probably somewhere around $200 for all of them have a few drinks and a bunch of appetizers. Atmosphere was really nice. The strange thing was when she and 2 of her friends first got there, they told the hostess that they thought one of other friends had gotten reservations. They were told the restaurant doesn't take reservations, but on the table right beside them was a big sign saying "Reserved." They mentioned that three others were coming and the hostess try to sit them at a couch that faced a cold, stone decorative hearth and were told they could sit there. My wife suggested maybe they would be more comfortable at the two couches that faced each other on the other side of the room. She felt that the hostess didn't want them to sit there for some reason, it just didn't make sense and wasn't inviting. Otherwise, They had a great time and...
Read moreReally cool atmosphere. I enjoyed the old-timey outfits worn by staff. The animals on the wall had names, you could find them at the end of the cocktail list. It was very loud in there, still easy to have a conversation though. I did notice a few groups of people leave because there is very little seating, especially for smaller groups (like 2 people sitting at a 4 top wasting 2 chairs but there aren't 2 tops and a 3top in the middle of the room with big albeit comfy looking chairs where 2-4 table could probably fit with smaller chairs). I had a "lost soul" or something like that. I exchanged the vodka for gin. It was fantastic!! Pricey, but yummy. Husband had the Black Pearl. It was also delicious! The menu is easy to read and service was excellent. If you don't want to go broke and still try them all go for happy hour: buy one...
Read moreHad to travel to Nampa this weekend for some family business and really wanted to dine at Brick 29. It being a Friday nite it was an hour wait for a table but the host told us we could pass the time at the Craft Lounge. I will admit that we were fooled by the "Janitor Closet Employees Only" Sign and had to wait until a few regulars came down the hallway and laughingly told us we were close! What an amazing space - My wife and sister in-law had some cocktails, me being the DD had a mocktail of their housemade ginger syrup with some tonic and lime - yummy. We noshed on the Mediterranean platter - also very delicious! Our server was friendly and attentive while not being intrusive - always a plus! All in all a unique and wonderful way to pass the time. Will definitely visit again if I find myself back in Nampa. A true gem of a...
