I have to preface this review by first saying prior to tonight I loved this restaurant. Tonight however my husband had been eating his burger and after a few bites he noticed that his burger was rather cold. Since we were eating there this was odd as we hadn't gone any real length of time from when it was served at the counter to the time he was eating it, at most it was two to three minutes. He took one more bite and the entire middle of the burger was bright pink. And by pink I mean at most two millimetres of grey/ brown with the ENTIRE center of both patties being cold and pink. I quietly approached the counter and not wanting to make a scene as other customers were there I showed it to them and explained that my husband won't eat any meat pink and that it was cold and kindly asked for another burger. The staff apologized and brought out another burger and we thought this was the end of it. That was until I tried my burger and it too was cold and pink. By this time it was only us and one other table of customers. So as to not make a scene I again approached the counter and said very quietly that my burger was also cold and raw and told them I would just try to eat around the raw portion as I didn't want to alarm other customers but i just wanted them to know so other customers were not served raw food and that perhaps their cook needed to keep the burgers on the grill a little longer. I thought I was doing them a favor and that my input was appreciated until we went outside to leave. The other customers happened to be a group of bikers and they were standing outside waiting for us. They informed me that the employees had been making snide comments about me and that they felt this was highly inappropriate as they thought i was quite sincere and had not been out of line in my choice of words nor my attempt to be discrete. My husband said yes babe they were but i didn't want to say anything until we left as he knew this would upset me. Now to sum up my review... our food was served undercooked and frankly raw inside. I tried my best to be a good consumer and be as quiet and polite as possible. This manager was very young and rather than take this matter seriously he chose instead to mock a paying costumer who was simply trying to help avoid a potential lawsuit and or food safety violation. They did not care and instead laughed and joked about the fat lady complaining about her food. I recently was diagnosed with cancer and had every right to be concerned but my concern was met with laughter and nothing came of it. Shame on Louis for not choosing to take the correct path and hopefully if anyone actually reads these reviews you will check your food for temperature and doneness prior...
Read moreAVOID This Doggy bag of a wanna be fast food restaurant. Blech! So, I Decided to try it for myself; ordered a Double California Combo with fries and a mint shake. When I am trying out a new joint I always pick something on the menu that is a "house special" and in so doing I ask them to tell me what is on the burger. What I found in the bag when I got home was a single patty, with wilted, nasty vegetables and, if you can call this 'thing' a patty of meat plus the strangest, cheapest fries that tasted like they had been soaking in old oil for the last four hours. This was at 6PM. A Really busy time for this area this time of night. The hamburger did NOT have the "special Sauce" on it that, "is like thousand island dressing." It was smothered in mayonnaise, which I despise, after I even ASKED to make sure it didn't have any on it. My dog had one of the MOST expensive meals I've bought for him in a long time. I kind of feel ashamed of feeding it to him--hope he doesn't puke all over the floor tonight. DO I just not "get it?" this food sucked. The mint shake was ok, but DQ does it better. And if you are going to spend $11.00 in a drive through... go to Carl's Jr. At least you get more...
Read moreFreddy's typically has an awesome patty melt. I've been to a few locations throughout the Treasure Valley. But this was my go-to location is as close to my house . This location over the last couple years is definitely dipped in the quality of their food. Today we had a ho-hum welcome when we walked up to the counter but I must say she was very efficient and taking our order. She repeated back our order which was exactly what we had ordered. We sat down for a few minutes and noticed our Burger sitting out on the counter. We walked up and they were waiting on the fries. So that the food wouldn't get any colder we decide to take the burgers back and come back for the prize. I must say that my patty melt was on the cold side to where the cheese did not melt. The onions were not soft and sweet as they usually are but pretty stringy. To my wife's request she did not want onions on her Burger and of course when it was served it had onions. The last couple times we visited here there's been a few details missed as they were today. I will give Freddy's in Nampa one more try before I get my Freddy's...
