We ordered granite countertops (5 pcs.) from the Nampa, ID. store. Sharon was our salesperson. The process went smoothly until installation day. 4 of the pieces were no problem. The 5th piece which was for the kitchen sink, not so much. The sink countertop is 2 pieces with a seam in the middle. The left side was good, the right side was not. A new right side was cut and came in wrong again. The decision was made, by Precision Countertops, the installers, to redo both pieces. Both new pieces were wrong. The left side was acceptable but wrong. The right side we accepted because the tile backsplash would cover the too big gap between the back edge of the counter and the wall. Had we not accepted the right side the piece would have been redone 4 times! Also, when the countertop was installed on the third trip the faucet did not fit. Precision Countertops was made aware of this and couldn't get anyone out for another 2 weeks. I fixed that myself so we could use the sink. We never received a call from anyone Home Depot in regards to our satisfaction or how the project was progressing. I spoke to Sharon at Home Depot about the situation and was directed to Elisha, the COS, who was basically no help at all and had a bit of an attitude. We could not use our kitchen sink for about six weeks. I have been dealing with the installation contractor in regards to a refund and the process with their management has been very slow. Keith, one of the installers was rude answering my wife's questions. The 2 project coordinators I worked with from the installation contractor did everything they could to help us. Update 7-21-2023: I did begrudgingly accept a $500.00 (offered smugly as a goodwill gesture) refund from Precision Countertops. We paid $12,000.00 to have the job done. Precision Countertops told me to talk to the Nampa store in regards to a bigger refund. I spoke to Jamie the Installation Coordinator last week and again today. Today I learned that because I accepted the $500.00 from Precision Countertops no further action will be taken in regards to a bigger refund. Precision Countertops never mentioned this to me. This is absolute nonsense and unacceptable. Home Depot does not give a damn about customer satisfaction. I will never do another project with Home Depot and suggest you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered a 52 inch rolling tool chest on June 3rd for about 930 dollars total with tax and fees, it arrived June 5th. As the delivery crew were unloading the tool chest, I noticed two things, first I ordered a new tool chest and thought it would be in boxes, but it wasn't. Second when they were starting to lower it down from their truck I noticed that it was very dusty, scratched and dented. I told the gentlemen not to unload it, I didn't want it because it was very damaged. I told them that I had payed over 900 dollars for a new tool chest, not a used and damaged one. They continued to unload it, they told me that they had to unload it and that I had to call the store and get that fixed. So they left it on my driveway and drove off. I called the store at that moment and they offered to exchange it for a different one, but it was going to be a floor model again because they don't send them out in the boxes, in other words a scratched up one again. I asked for a new one in the box, they said no. Then they offered me a refund. Which at that point I took. If I can't have a new tool chest that I am clearly paying for, I might as well get my money back. So they put in for a refund or so they said. Two days later I had to call them back, no one contacted me on that day like they told me, no refund was processed, finally they did and picked it up on the 8th of June. Didn't get a refund until a month later, they picked up the tool chest but never processed the refund back to PayPal. Finally when i received my refund they shorted me out 79 dollars, they charged me 79 dollars for something I never received or even signed for. I called and talk to the store manager and she basically told me too bad so sad, to put it in a nice way. That is terrible customer service to have to pay for something that was damaged and never received. I was told that that was a service charge and that even if they hadn't left it, I would have been charged for that service. So as far as I am concerned negative 10 stars for Home Depot. I just spent 17,000 dollars on a new air conditioning system with them a couple years ago, but...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to enjoy shopping at the store. In May I purchased windows which home Depot has had no problem billing me for and I've paid for. Only problem is I've never received these windows. They sent an installer out with the wrong windows in July. I was told there had been mistakes made by the person who measured and that the windows would be reordered and I would be called with a new installation date. They did call with a new date but they never showed up. Eric Hill the installation manager told me the windows were lost by the warehouse and that he would trace them and give me a call back and have installation scheduled. Now we're at the end of August and the installation manager Eric Hill does not return phone calls. If you read on the home Depot website all the horror stories people have had trying to get windows installed you might save yourself a lot of problems. It has not been worth the hassle, I have no way to get the windows I purchased, I don't think the subcontractors got paid and Eric Hill will not return my phone calls. At this point I feel like my only recourse is to try to dispute the charges of $2,700 and try to get a refund. You should know if they do come out to install Windows, they take down all of your blinds and window coverings and expect you to reinstall them since that's not covered in service charge. You have to take the entire day off work as they take out your old windows leaving your home open to the elements and then they figure out the windows that they have are the wrong size so they reinstall the old windows but don't want to caulk them in because that's not covered. So in addition to all this frustration I lost two days of pay messing around with these installers and I'm looking at going into winter with my old broken windows. If they were to show up with the windows now I would have to take another day without pay to be here while they once again tear up my house and hope that they do it correctly this time. A few years ago I used a small local glass company and unfortunately I don't recall the name but they did it right the first time at...
