Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Nampa

Sadly disappointed!!! 👎🏼👎🏼 We went in on a Sun around 3:30 The restaurant was mostly empty. I wanted a prime rib but they didn't have any. I ordered a RIDICULOUSLY overpriced bone in Ribeye. My husband ordered the New York strip. I can't recall the price of his steak. I believe the ribeye was $33.⁰⁰ or more. I was shocked at the prices! 😵 What we received were poorly cooked & OVERPRICED Protein. I couldn't believe it. The entire time we were there, there was a total of 4 tables & 2 singles were sitting at the bar.

For that amount, We EXPECTED & deserved no less than PERFECTION. I ordered my steak cooked medium. My husband ordered his NY strip Medium as well. My Ribeye was a MESS. It was very thick in some areas & very thin in other areas. I had pieces that were Well done & other areas which were rare. There was ZERO consistency. I've never received a steak from a restaurant that wasn't pounded out OR evened out thickness wise. I order ribeyes bc the flavor. This steak was so lightly salted. It didn't have the yummy & strong meat flavor that it should have had. Again: my plate costs $33⁰⁰ I ordered a dinner salad and a baked potato. My potato was so small. Half the size of Texas road house potatoes. 🤏🏻 But that's ok..... As long as it's a good potato. Rhe potato was good with the exception of the bacon. There was 1 piece of bacon on it. It was a tad less that 2 inches long. I thought it was weird that it was just 1 piece of bacon VS crumbles. I went to cut it up to mix it, But it was pure fat. The kind of fat that's inedible. 🤔 I was MORE than disappointed. Never ever should u spend that kind of money and receive such low quality product. WE could have been more satisfied with a pizza. My hubby's NY strip looked perfect. It was all the same thickness. His was cooked Medium just as he requested. (Lucky him) I tried a bite. It wasn't aweful but it wasn't anything special either. He ordered the veggies with his. They were undercooked, Zero salt or butter. The veggies weren't cold but they weren't hot either. My hubby took 1 bite of the veggies & that was it. Our server was very nice. Too nice. We were his only table. He must have came to our table 15 times. I appreciate his enthusiasm. But it's hard to reply when my mouth is always full. I just let that go cuz sometimes we never see a server when we need something. I believe that he was new employee. I worked it the Restaurant/bar bizz for many years. I took in consideration that he must be new. I could feel how nervousness. (We have all been there) He asked us if we would be interested in a loaf of bread rather than just bringing it out. My husband thought we had to pay for it by the way he asked us. He never gave us plates for our bread either. All the little things wouldn't have been a biggie if it weren't for everything going wrong with the dinner. Still, The server was very nice and he was trying so very hard 2 please us. We compensated him...

My fiancé and I went there for dinner. We have always had a great experience in the past. On the night of 2/11/17 we went there to find there was a 35-45 minute wait. We were given a buzzer and sat at a table near the bar to wait for a table. I ordered a beer for myself and a glass of wine for my fiancé. While sitting there we noticed an empty table. As time went on the manager came over and asked what the bobblehead was about. We were both confused about the comment. I told her we were waiting for a table. She went to check and we were told it would be just a few more minutes. My fiancé' asked why the empty table had been sitting for so long. The manager said "she was keeping it empty because she didn't want her waitress to be too overwhelmed." We continued to wait. I thought to myself and wondered how many other tables were empty for the same reason as many other people waited to be seated. About that time the buzzer went off and we were seated at a table. Our waitress took our order and we asked her for another beer and a glass of wine. She brought our salads and just as we were finishing them the manager approached our table. She asked me who was driving? I asked her why she was asking. She stated they just check every now and then and she turned around and walked away. Then the bartender finally brought our second drink of the night. As I sat there and thought about what had just happened I could not believe this had happened after just one drink. I told the waitress I would pay for what we had eaten and the one drink. I no longer wanted to eat there. I will NEVER GO...

The food was really good, but I think they got my moms and my steak cook temp backward. Hers came out more rare then mine, and mine was a bit more done than I liked. I still ate it, though, because it was still delicious! Our sever was very tentative and actually had some personality to him!! I love having servers that has personality!! He made jokes, suggestions, and checked on us a good amount without hovering! Really made us feel like he was happy we were there! My mom raised me as a single mom, waiting tables and bartending, so I absolutely love when a sever can read the table a bit and lighten up and mess with us a bit. There was a host who seemed to be in training and nervous. Very eager to please and do a good job! I was trying to find a way to mention that he maybe needed a bit bigger pants because when he went to clean a table across from us we saw LOTS of Crack. He was very sweet though and defined seemed to be really trying so I didn't know how to bring it up. Over all ot was a very good experience, especially considering how cranky we both were bu the time we got there! They weren't insane busy, but definitely busy enough to have plenty to do amd servers/employees that were working all made us feel lime we were the only ones in the restaurant when we needed something. I am 100000% confident that if I had mentioned my steak to any of them they would have fixed it with a smile.) We were there on a Tuesday evening probably...
