Wow! Where has this place been my whole life? My new favorite Chinese food joint! We've eaten here twice and it was amazing both times. We went on Christmas to try something new. We didn't get Ramen, but we ordered 5 different entrees and 2 appetizers and we were blown away. The flavors were delightful, some subtle, others bold. Fried rice was actually fried and amazing. The yakisoba was a hit, as well as the broccoli beef. Crab rangoons slapped hard. Everyone was so nice and sweet, it really set the tone for a great Christmas. We will definitely be making it our go to for Chinese food. We went again about a week later and tried a few different entrees, like general's chicken. My goodness, it was delightful. It's cheaper than going to Hong Kong restaurant and infinitely better (sorry, Hong Kong). For the haters who posted pretentious, negative reviews like "Samuel R" and "xs2 GUDS," spouting their cultural hate and hipster BS, don't ruin a good restaurant for the rest of us. Go back to your mom's basements, slam a code red, and get back to gooning to your fav anime, weebs. Sorry, got off topic for a minute... If you're on the fence, don't be! Go enjoy some of the best Chinese food...
Read moreGosh, I really wanted this to be delicious, but it was less than okay. There's something weird about the chinese restaurants on this end of the valley, like they all have bad ratings. So I was sooooo hopeful with this place having 4.5 stars that it would be delicious, but it was so bland. So basically the only decent Asian food on this end of the valley is the Thai food truck. So let's talk about Ramen House food. The deep fried things tasted like old gross oil, their house special noodles was so bland and not special at all. Putting salt on it didn't help, I even drenched it in my favorite teriyaki sauce, and it didn't help. I got every entree on the menu except the snow peas. The broccoli in the beef broccoli was fresh, but everything else did not taste good. The pot sticker sauce was decent. I guess maybe all the people who rated this place 5 stars didn't get the entrees and only did the ramen. I took a chance on a ramen house having good Chinese dishes and...
Read moreIn comparison to other ramen restaurants in the treasure valley. I wouldn’t place it up there. We order tofu for appetizers and it seemed to be flash fried; with tofu you have to have close to room temperature. If it is on fried it is the same ordeal. However for it being fried there was no signs of browning. The ramen seems to be Chinese influenced which is not a bad thing that’s where it originated. But if it is being Chinese influenced means the add-ons will portioned below an average ramen restaurant and priced 200% above market pricing. The broth didn’t have a flare or distinction from Shin black ramen packet. I have lived in south east Asia for over 15 years and lived coast to coast for another 17 years; having tasting ramen restaurants all over. The rating seems overrated for it being 4.7 especially when there are 2 recently James Beard awarded restaurant not even rated that high in the TV. But I’ll say the staff is really nice...
