One of the worst experiences I've had EVER, which is really unfortunate. there was TERRIBLE customer service, a long wait time, cold food, small portions, over priced, and we were hit with a large glass jug BY our server, with absolutely no acknowledgement/apology from ANY of the servers. (The glass was knocked over from the fridge)

When we first walked in there was a young lady with short blonde hair. She didn't greet us or anything just kinda stared. Not a "good afternoon' "how many?" Or anything. We were the ones who awkwardly had to repeat that it was a party of 2. We showed up at lunch time about 2 pm and it was fairly busy but not BUSY. We were sat at a high table against the window, with our back to the bar / counter. After we were sat, it took 21 MINS for any server to acknowledge us, introduce himself, and ask for just drinks. We ordered drinks and got an order of Zucchini Fries. When he returned with drinks he didn't even have enough straws for us, so at this point already it's a bad start. It took about an additional 20 mins for us to receive our zucchini fries. They were actually very delicious, but an extremely long wait for them. At this point we have been here 40 minutes and Hayden still had not taken our order for our entries. Countless times did all servers pass by our table, but it took an additional 15 minutes to finally get our in order. We were seated right by the bar so they had to pass right next to us to get behind the counter for the beverages but was ignored for about an hour at this point. We had hoped that despite the poor service that sandwich we had order would be good, based on the zucchini fries but we were mistaken. After about an additional 30 minutes we finally received our burgers (a smoked tri tip melt with a side salad and tenderloin dip with coleslaw) at this point we had waited an hour and a half for our food. My side salad was chopped into huge pieces. My onion slices were an inch wide and 3 inches tall. Very sloppy chopping and the dressing wasn't even on my salad, just in a teeny black continents to-go container. My sandwich was COLD. There's was no steam, nothing. My mom's coleslaw was good but it was 98% just cabbage. the portions were small and personally we didn't like either sandwich. They had a weird sweet flavor. I understand that's a personal preference but we didn't like the flavors. Just a little context for this next part, my seat had my back against the bar/counter area and my back was directly again a small refrigerator they used for beverages I believe. On top of that refrigerator were large, glass jugs sitting there. Our server (Hayden) slammed the fridge door knocking a Large glass jug on top of us and our table. Not only was I hit by this, it knocked down our wine menu, our sauce, my salad plate and then It shattered everywhere around me. Not ONCE did any of the servers ask if we were ok, if we were hit, or if it had gotten glass shards in our food. like come on!! not only are you going to drop a glass jug on a customers head but you're not going to check on them?! Call me crazy but I think that's just basic human decency?? Not only that not one single server apologized to us, They ignored us and cleaned up the mess around me!! I was sitting there surrounded by glass and nobody would even acknowledge I was just hit. That was my last straw, I had to leave. Despite everything that went wrong I was still polite to the servers. I asked Hayden for to go boxes and he disappeared and never got them for us. I then had to ask 2 ADDITIONAL servers before we could finally get to go boxes

Overall we were extremely disappointed and very frustrated about the whole situation. Zucchini Fries were so amazing but I wouldn't NEVER come back or recommend this place based on our experience. It took 1 hr and 40 mins for an undressed salad, 2 cold sandwiches, and a glass jar to the head. 60 bucks btw.

Attached is a pic from online of where we sat (yellow star) and where the fridge with the glass jug is (red arrow). And also a receipt with our servers name on...

Too expensive, $83 for two sandwiches that had rock hard bacon, onion rings that though good were $2 extra per sandwich meal, $6 for unlimited soda charged twice for one meal and and the kids meal. Not that great of food would eat Taco Bell every night and have explosive diarrhea then to ever eat here again. Not too loud, chill atmosphere. Nice servers but take forever to get to you and do not check on you very often.

Ok I'll make some alterations, here, you are correct he did give good service, that being said he should have checked in with us more then just one time, but to be fair to him you seemed to only have 3 - 4 people to work the joint so maybe he was too busy doing other things to have checked more then once. I didn't mention the kids meal because it was fine my kid ate it. Your cheesecake tastes like it was freezer burned but I didn't say anything because my mother and kid didn't seem to notice and I thought it was just me, but just the worst cheesecake ever. The cucumber fries were ok, but not amazing. Most sit down restaurants like 99.9% of them make it clear that there is an extra charge and what that charge is when the person orders their sides and doesn't just assume that the person saw that it was listed on the menu. Honestly I didn't see what the sides were, I went off of what my server told me was my options. As for bottomless drinks I'm kinda ok with being charged that much for my drink but a child's drink that's half the size of a normal drink is the same price? And he never asked to refill hers, didn't occur to ask I guess, which not getting her hyped on sugar is good but definitely should not be charged that much for a wee drink. The signature drink was fine. Your bacon was so freaking hard that I couldn't take a bite of my sandwich without A) hurting my teeth and B) having my sandwich come apart because I can't get through your leather bacon. Also, your sandwiches are as dry as the desert, if your are going to add a sauce to your sandwiches, learn to spread it to each corner and side and have enough to taste that their IS a sauce on the sandwich.

So I gave you better stars on service, and on atmosphere because atmosphere was pretty good, but your food stars stay the same because your food sucks.

And so now I've been fair and talked about the points I left out that you so thoughtfully brought to attention so thank you for that. Here's some free advice, as a customer who didn't feel I got my money's worth I have every right to criticize, I could have cussed, been far more rude and disrespectful, I could have told to anyone and everyone to not come here, but I didn't,. I stated my issues and was sarcastic in using T. BELL reference, but you responding the way you did, telling me I deserve to having stomach pain from eating at T.Bell was unprofessional. Take the criticism and either continue to be butt hurt about my opinion or make some changes to make the food worth that kind of bill. I could and would have paid less for fantastic food at Texas Roadhouse, but I wanted to try something different.... thank you for teaching me to stick with places and food I know...

Terrible food and Terrible service. We started with appetizers and our server said it'd be 10 min. 30 min later he comes out with one tray and a lady behind him with the onion rings, and she says "I've got 5 more coming for you I'm so sorry but my manger said you've already been waiting for 20 min so get those out so 5 more are coming" we ordered zucchini fries and onion rings. Both TERRIBLE! The onion ring was just a old oil filled blob of dough wrapped around a onion. The zucchini fries were mushy and again old oil filled blob of dough around mushy mushy zucchini. We waited another 45 min for our meals. I ordered a Turkey in da Club and the breaded was under toasted so the outside was rock hard and the inside soft, and there wasn't avocado on it. The reason I went with that over the BLT was because I wanted avocado so that was disappointing. Meanwhile my husband's finger steaks were once again disgusting old oil filled blob of dough wrapped around steak that tasted like it was boiled in water to cook it. A $22.99 MEAL AND 1 DAMN BITE WAS TAKEN AND SPIT OUT!! The fries were good tho, so there's that. There were FOUR cooks in the kitchen, we ordered very simple, small items, if it's going to take you a life time to get the food out AT LEAST MAKE IT GOOD FOOD!!! Make the wait worth it. Our server was just about as worthless as they come. He was young so I try not to be to harsh, but he knows how to talk to people, and was friendly enough the very few times he came to our table in the hour and 45 min we were there. The problem is when he brought out the appetizers both our drinks were empty and he only grabbed my husband's drink to fill it..? About 20 min later and just watching him stand around behind the bar and go into the bathroom a couple times my husband got up and took him my glass to be filled. We never got the other 5 onion rings that went to our appetizer, but bet your ass we paid full price, it was very clear that not 1 finger steak was eaten but bet your ass we paid full price. All plates that came out were still full of food, and we declined boxes TWICE. Yes, at 2 different times he asked if we wanted boxes "for all your appetizers" "for your finger steaks" so clearly we didn't care for the food, and not once were we asked if everything tasted okay, no discount offered for the terrible food after waiting a ridiculous amount of time for something that was unacceptable to be presented to a paying customer! Also watched our server finish off his drink while standing behind the bar and turn around to the soda machine for a refill and stuck his glass in the ice to get some with the same glass he was just drinking off of so that was gross. But I will say, the boy that was hosting with the blond hair and glasses was great! He made me feel welcome and excited to sit down and enjoy a meal with my husband for the first time in I don't know how long just the two of us. So it was rather disappointing the way it went from pretty much the moment the host left our table! So the 1 star is only because of him, and because I...

Ate at Jak’s today with the family. We were told that it was a 30 minute wait for lunch. It wasn’t possible for us to wait as we had two small children in tow. When we said that we could come back another time, they were able to seat us. That was a win. However, we waited for someone to come to take our drink order. Before we ordered drinks we received the drinks for the table next to us. We didn’t even have a chance to tell the server they weren’t ours as she just sat them on the table and walked off, she didn’t bother to even ask who ordered what. My husband sought her out and let her know of the error, neither her or the other server knew the table numbers from what I overheard, thus the confusion. I had to order a meal with some omissions as I’m nursing and it would adversely affect my nursing baby. When the food finally came myself, husband and teenager received our food but my two year old had to wait for his. The two year old was the one who we were hurrying to feed. My meal came with everything on the sandwich that I needed left off and was soggy. I ended up picking it off and eating it all anyway because I was STARVING. The server offered to have it remade but I didn’t have time for that. Meanwhile my teen and myself were still waiting for our fries (which we were told we would get a big plate of since they didn’t fit on our plates). The fries came on two separate plates and were a mediocre portion for “not being able to fit” on the entree plate. Toddler still has no food so I’m reaching across the table feeding him my fries and meat from my sandwich so the poor kid doesn’t have a meltdown. By the time the kid’s meal comes the turkey sandwich was not grilled at all and was just bread with turkey, cheese and tomato tossed on it, with a bag of chips, not a big deal but it was the least involved meal so what the heck took it so long. I was so frustrated, hungry, and angry that I actually had to step outside to collect myself. The bill came while I was outside, but they did discount it. The server is lucky that my husband paid, if it were me I would not have tipped as generously. Today was a family outing I had planned and been excited for for months. The poor service and leaving hungry ruined the ending to this day for me. It seems like the food has potential but I’d be hard pressed to return.

A Five-Star Frontier Feast at Jak's Neighborhood Grill As I sauntered into Jak's Neighborhood Grill, the dust of a long journey clinging to my boots, I felt like I had just hitched my horse and buckboard after traversing the rugged terrains of Wyoming and Colorado. With 40 miles of dirt and adventure packed under my hat, I made quite the entrance, kicking off the remnants of the trail and smacking my hat on the table, sending a cloud of the Wild West swirling around me. The moment I stepped in, Karen, the embodiment of hospitality, greeted us with a twinkle in her eye. Before we could even utter a word, she was stirring up some drinks and sliding them down the bar with the precision of a seasoned gunslinger. My throat, parched from the dusty trails, welcomed the refreshment like a desert greets the rain. The ambiance of Jak's is something right out of a tale of the frontier—rustic, warm, and inviting, a place where stories of the trail are exchanged over hearty meals. We ordered some grub—sliders with onions, fried to perfection, the aroma teasing our senses and promising a feast. Then came the main event: a beef burger that seemed to have captured the essence of the plains. It was tossed onto a bun with the care of a chuckwagon cook who knows the value of a good meal to a weary traveler. I slammed it down in minutes flat, my hunger devilishly quenched by the mighty fine flavors that danced across my taste buds. Jak's Neighborhood Grill isn't just a restaurant; it's a journey back in time to when meals were a moment to gather, share tales, and satisfy the soul. If you find yourself yearning for a taste of the Wild West, hitch your wagon and head over to Jak's. It's an oasis of flavor in the vast culinary desert, a place where every meal feels like a feast after a long day on the trail. Five stars to Jak's, for not just feeding the body, but nourishing the spirit of adventure in us all.

It's an oasis of flavor in the vast culinary desert, a place where every meal feels like a feast after a long day on the trail. Five stars to Jak's, for not just feeding the body, but nourishing the spirit of adventure in us all.
