Awesome, friendly people. Stopped in after a a Saturday shift for a taco. I’ve been seeing this place for a while while driving around. Anyway, nice people, excellent atmosphere. I tried a Birria taco, which was $5.50 for one, which I thought seemed high. However they give a generous amount of consommé , which is typical. What is not typical is the roasted pepper (Serrano?), roasted onions, raw onions, chopped cilantro and lime wedges on the side. Normally places give me roasted onions inside the taco, raw in the consommé and will hand out a single lime wedge no matter how many tacos you order. This taco was also LOADED with schmeat and cheese. Both tortillas were dipped in consommé and then fried crispy. They have regular street tacos, which I didn’t try, which are $3 which is probably right around the average. Maybe other places are $2.50? The had pizza boxes behind the counter and I asked the gentleman behind the counter what they use those for. He said they make birria pizzas! Wild. Their salsa bar is simple but the red salsa I tried was excellent. They have seating for one at the “bar” (I’m pretty sure they serve beer but I don’t think they serve actual cocktails/liquor). Which was nice cuz the place was packed and I was just one dude (still am). The place was very clean, which doesn’t mean much because some of the best food I’ve had has been in quite dirty restaurants. But this place is up there with them and it’s clean Long story short, I’m gonna go back to try other things sometime after work Best birria taco I’ve ever had. Super cool people and a good salsa bar. The music playing is what you expect and it’s on point. If you like birria tacos, you gotta try this joint. 10/10,...
Read moreI don’t really do reviews but I had to review this place. It just recently opened and I told my husband that we should check it out and so we did. This place did NOT disappoint. We were treated so nicely and the young man who took our order came to check on us and asked how the food was. He was so friendly and gave us more information about their food truck as well.
We ordered the pizzabirria and that was more than enough for the both of us. The tortilla was crunchy, it was cheesy, the ratio of meat in it was just perfect. The meat was just soooo tender, just like it should be in birria. The consomé to dip it in was just sooo good, literal perfection. I loved the avocado salsa, it wasn’t spicy and just the right consistency. I really loved that the salsas weren’t watered down like in some other Mexican restaurants/food trucks.
I wanted to try the aguas frescas but they ran out so that’s on my list for next time.
My husband was sad they don’t open Mondays because he was ready to go the next day. We will be regulars from now on. I hope if they grow big, they don’t lose the quality consistency because they are perfect right now. Can’t wait to be back again and try...
Read moreJust tried this restaurant today and got my meal to go! So good I had to come write a review after we finished eating. I got the quesabirria taco and it came with 2 tacos, (I only ate 1 because it was so filling) the toppings included were grilled onions & a grilled jalapeño pepper, cilantro, lime and a large side of the dipping sauce that I completely finished it was so rich and flavorful!
I also got the ramen and I believe it is barria meat in it as well. A bit of a spice to it but it’s just rich and a great comfort meal. Cilantro and onions in it too. Perfect for a cold day the meat was melting apart for every bite. Also a massive serving for 1 person! Great for leftovers or for sure can split this between two people— Not sure which meal I enjoyed more! BOMB 10/10 for us! Will be doing take outs more often! Also price was great! For the tacos, ramen and a side of rice I spent only $25 and shared the meal with...
