I popped over to this location on a night I was exhausted working & really needed a boost 🥱 it was the 1st time I've ever tried Scooter's Coffee. I was excited bc I checked out their menu online 1st, & saw they had all these pumpkin spice offerings, especially a chai tea latte which sounded so good.
🤔🌱 Being vegan, I'm always checking menus for ingredients to inform myself before pulling up, but the online menu was kinda lacking in details on what goes into the drinks. So I made my way over to ask. Thank goodness they werent busy bc its a drive-thru with no walk in... & the girl on the speaker was so kind & patient in answering my questions 🙏🏼 Tho I had to figure out on my own what was the best option bc recommendations for dairy-free options werent offered (Top-notch service is when staff are informed on offerings & can recommend options to help unknowing customers).
While I found out that the pumpkin sauce contains skim milk & is therefore not vegan-friendly 😪 a real bummer, & that they were out of cold brew for the day (my 2nd choice) another bummer, it was nice to have a friendly interaction with the staff member who took my order & didnt give me a hard time. I settled on a regular iced chai latte with coconut milk & while it didnt satisfy my pumpkin cravings, it was still decently tasty.
I love when coffee shops are mindful in offering milk alternatives, even tho you pretty much have to these days if you want to remain competitive & inclusive in a market where consumers are increasingly health-conscious ... but I dont like seeing milk snuck into sauces where its not necessary. Other coffee chains can do Pumpkin Spice dairy free & its just as satisfying (e.g. Peet's coffee, my go-to), so things like that on popular/seasonal offerings turn me off to wanting to return.
I'm a humble being who doesnt ask for much lol, but when a PSL isn't dairy free bc of premade sauce for the sake of "creaminess" when almost all your syrups are dairy free & you have dairy free milks that themselves make a drink creamy ... ugh, not pleased.
Not sure how I feel about Scooter's currently, if for me its worth returning, but I do appreciate the dairy-free offerings they do have, the decent price, & the kindness from the staff member during my...
Read moreHave been to this location the last few days to test out a few of their drinks. Today was the first time using the app to "order ahead". Very disappointed in their order ahead. It is not order ahead, it is "pay ahead". Why have a separate lane for order ahead, when you actually still have to go through the drive thru lane? Luckily there was only one car in the drive thru when I pulled up, but what if there were 10 cars? They make your drinks when you get there instead of "grab and go", which it should be. Will never order ahead and I dont recommend anyone ordering ahead. On the positive side, employees are very friendly and if you have a dog they offer pup cups with whip cream and a small dog bone. Coffee and cold drinks have been...
Read moreI had my first scooters coffee 5 hours from home. I went on vacation...came home....and there was one right down the street from me. I knew they were opening a store near me but had no idea when they were opening. This location is absolutely amazing. Everyone is always so nice! My drinks are never a disappointment and if there is ever an issue they make it right before I even have a chance to know there was one. Best bang for my buck for quantity vs cost over any other place in the area. Ever changing menu keeps me trying something new while keeping at least one of my favorites for long periods. I visit here at least 2x a week and will continue to give them...
