Black Letter Coffee + Cafe — Restaurant in Naples

Haven’t been here since this place was Le Petit and things have changed, but not for the better. Prices are still the same or more for quality and portions that have gone downhill. They no longer offer the nutella/strawberry crepe, so I ordered the nutella crepe and added strawberries and bananas - $2 additional charge for each fruit added (so $4 extra for both). There were maybe 5 banana slices and 7 small strawberry slices…that is criminal to charge that much for additional fruit when barely any is added. My sister got the bacon and egg Croissant which was obviously premade and the bacon was barely cooked and slimy. The fruit cup that came with her sandwich is pretty sad too. I have added photos of both the fruit up and sandwich (with the sandwich next to a piece of bacon that we cooked so yall can see the comparison haha). The strawberry refresher was the only item that was worth our time/money. Harsh Review. I am a Local Chef of a prominent established restaurant in town. I've been in the hospitality business over 20 years. I've never been charged for plastic cups & straws. My wife and I order two Croissant sandwiches and two smooties. They charged us $42 for two Croissant Sandwiches and two smoothies!!! My Croissant Sandwich with Brie Cheese, Mixed Greens and the Spring Mix Salad served with the sandwich was so bad. The quality is shown in the pictures. I literally took it back inside for a refund. They did refund me for my sandwich. I HAVE NEVER SENT BACK A PLATE OF FOOD IN MY LIFE!!! I told them that what you put on a plate is representative of YOU... I've literally never been in this situation before. I told them, for the money they are charging, the food they serve needs to match. Was excited to taste and enjoy the French pastries and coffee for a nice relaxed breakfast. The staff was unwelcoming and all over the place. I felt bad for the one server who had a boss giving him the stink-eye while taking our order. Anyways, $30 later for two specialized coffees and pastries, we were used a table number and sat outside to enjoy the weather. Our order proceeded to sit inside on the counter getting cold.... only when we wondered what was taking so long that we inquired within.... This I'd after a generous tip as well.... so we kindly asked to have our coffees warmed up in the microwave. This was only done after feeling like it was a hassle and rude of us to bother them. The food was mediocre and the coffee was good once heated to temperature. This place has new owners we were told. I don't see them lasting through the summer!
