Had a dinner reservation on a Saturday night. Waiter was very kind, the food we ordered was delicious and the view was beautiful. What ruined the whole experience for me was the hostess. From the start of us arriving at the restaurant she was very short and unwelcoming, which I would have ignored and never written a review about. However, I had asked her about whether the restaurant does anything for birthday celebrations as we were there to celebrate my friend’s birthday. I explained I couldn’t ask the waiter without doing it in front of my friend as it was supposed to be a surprise (I faked going to the restroom to ask). She told me she didn’t know and couldn’t help me, but in the most annoyed, curt and rude tone just like earlier. Even if she had just offered to ask someone who did know I would have never felt upset as I understand front of house staff may really not know. I brought it up to my waiter because I was so put off by this as everything else had been very nice up until that point. I never asked for a free dessert, just if they could put a candle or something in a dessert we would order. The waiter was very kind and obviously shocked, but the explanation I got was that there’s a language barrier and she must not have understood me? She spoke perfect English when she was so rude to me. And if she is the hostess you would expect someone who could know when to ask for help from other staff if needed if that was truly the issue. He spoke with his manager who then sent a complimentary dessert drink. Which was nice, however the manager never came out to address the issue themselves or provide any explanation to her attitude other than what the waiter said. I’d rather that than any drink. All in all, I would love to go back to this restaurant as everything else was great up until then but it ruined any desire to want to go back. Definitely wouldn’t come here to celebrate anything special...
Read moreI had the worst meal I have experienced in a very long time. For Easter I took friends and when seated we waiting over 1 hour for any meals to arrive and had to ask the waiter to bring some bread as we were now quite hungry. My Wife and I ordered the Lamb shank, which was a big mistake. Our friends received their meals first, however; our Lamb Shanks were nowhere to be seen and it wasn't until my friends had finally finished did I ask the waiter when would my wife and my meals arrive. We really didn't wish to make a fuss at this time. When our Lamb finally arrived it was completely under cooked and the potatoes were actually hard and virtually not cooked at all.
Still not wishing to make a fuss we asked the waiter to take both dishes back and he said he would bring fresh dishes. 20 minutes later the same dishes were returned and in the same condition as before.
With this we asked the waiter to take away and bring us something quick which were the fish cakes. This had been a disaster and not a word of apology nor a visit by the manager of Chef.
To top off the fiasco no offer of compensation or again apologies were given when the bill arrived.
While leaving I asked for the Manager who was actually the owners son and his name was Sal. I explained all to him and again no offer of compensation only to hear him say that he agreed that this particular entree had been a disaster and blamed the Chef.
Before writing this review I had called the restaurant and spoke to Lewis for him to have Sal call me to discuss this embarrassing situation. I never received a call back subsequently I shall certainly not be visiting Fish again.
If I could give minus stars I...
Read moreAlthough this restaurant has a water view and appears classy it is the WORST, in terms of the way they treat patrons. (See other reviews). I had brought a friend there and during the meal it started pouring rain, and we were sitting outside. I asked the waiter if he’d close the side folding curtains and he stated he needed assistance. The manager then came over and said he couldn’t close them as he would get ”soaked”! So we were left there with the rain blowing everywhere. On a more recent visit today, I brought my beautiful Golden Retriever, service dog, with me and a friend for lunch and was looked at with a disgusting look by this older man at the hostess area who informed me that his restaurant doesn’t allow “ANY” dogs! He then asked me to look at an old crumpled up piece of paper attached to his hostess stand with what appeared to be words written about dogs and again rudely said, “ this is the law we don’t have to let any dogs in.”
I will never ever visit this establishment again and was happy to have found the Pub Restaurant around the corner as they couldn’t have been nicer to greet us and even provided water for my service dog “Mia”. The Pub Restaurant was truely delicious, the staff went out of their way to make this lunch experience very enjoyable and I would highly recommend them as they too have a water view and an impeccable covered deck with tables and delicious free pickles! The waiter said their kitchen was the cleanest kitchen he’d ever worked st in Naples, and the food...
