I purchased two custom recliners from Lazy Boy in Naples. Brian was my sales person . He was new, in his role, but and he was very easy to deal with and asked for help from his management when he did not know how to write up the order. I ordered the swivel glider electric chairs on 8-5-23 and they were delivered on 11-29. The delivery people were very professional and they showed me how to use the remote and demonstrated the features of the chairs. I physically inspected both chairs for rips or tears. There was not any. Three minutes after delivery people left, I sat in the other chair and it made a loud squeaking noise and it wobbled. I immediately called the store and asked for the delivery people to come back to check the other chair. I could see their truck outside. I spoke to a RUDE man at the store. He told me that once he delivery people walk out the door, it is a repair issue, I stated again, they were still out front. He told me it was now a repair issue. I told him I did not want a chair that needed to be repaired three minutes after it as delivered. I paid $4800 for the chairs. The RUDE man told me “nothing is perfect...things happen”. I told him I wanted to return them or exchange them for something else as when something is defective when it first arrives, it is always a “lemon”. He stated that per my contract, I am stuck with them. He said he would schedule service. Now the other chair is squeaking. I will NEVER BUY form Lazy-Boy again. I have been a loyal customer for 20 years. The quality of the furniture is no longer good.. This location is independently owned and is abysmal to deal with. STAY AWAY from this location. If you feel you MUST order something, do it online as they have a better return/ exchange policy and MUCH easier...
Read moreOur sales associate Cora was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Once we made our selections a delivery date was scheduled. The delivery team arrived Friday evening at 6:30PM after having made 13 previous stops. Once they saw our stairs they pretty much decided our new couch wasn’t going to fit in the door. We asked them to give it a try and things went down hill from there. They broke one of our exterior lights on the way up and the other on the way down when they couldn’t get the couch in. Frankly their effort was lacking at this point. The driver left in a huff when we told him we didn’t want the chair either when they couldn’t get the couch in. We visited the showroom the first thing Saturday morning to describe our experience and determine our next step. The general manager was sympathetic and promised they would send the A team to try the delivery again. When we inquired about scheduling that delivery on Monday we were told they wouldn’t try again and we were to select something else. Reluctantly we did so but everything we choose was out of stock. At that point we decided to move on and request a refund. It was REFUSED so at this point we are out over $3,000 and have NO furniture. Please think twice before you buy anything from this establishment. We’ve had to file a claim with our credit card provider and have reported them to the BBB. Terrible...
Read moreIs this a store? I cannot understand how La-Z-Boy allows this so-called store to stay open. It is very different from other stores we have visited in Fort Myers & Canada.
First of all, when you walk through the door, you are immediately "claimed" by a sales person who "owns" you for that visit. Most sales personnel are under-informed, aggressive, fast-talking order takers.
During our most recent trip to La-Z-Boy Naples, we wanted to buy an end table. Most tables on the website were not in the store. We found an acceptable table on the display floor. Once the price was established, we were given two choices - pick up a similar table in Fort Myers (45 miles away) or pay $69 for delivery. Apparently, they cannot have items shipped for pick up in the Naples store. Why bother opening for business if cannot provide the product?
We had previously bought an electric fireplace costing almost $3,000 from this store. The delivery personnel could not attach the front doors without them scraping the frame when being opened or closed. We immediately reported this to the store, but nothing happened. When we asked about this during our recent trip to the store, we were told to go to the website to find out how to solve the problem or they could send a serviceman for $70. What a ripoff!
Needless to say, we...
