First time there, and last time for a while. Maybe they will improve with time. We were excited to try Agave Social, hoping for a great Mexican option in town. Unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. On the plus side, the atmosphere inside is lively and they have a nice outdoor sitting area. Upon arrival we received a pleasant greeting and were seated reasonably quickly. Our waiter took our drink order quickly and delivered them in short order. Not a lot of plusses after that. Sadly, the margaritas were quite bland and uninspired. We placed our orders for appetizers and entrees right after our drinks were served. Like the drinks, the food arrived fairly quickly, unfortunately all of our food arrived at the same time, appetizers and entrees all brought to the table at once. This was a major disappointment for sure. For the most part the food was not great, there were a few things that folks liked, but most things were not very good. Our server was polite, but when we commented on the food all being delivered at once he seemed not to care. He never came back to the table to see if anyone wanted another drink, which in all honesty I would not have ordered another cocktail based on my disappointing margarita. All in all, not a great night out for dinner. I will not be recommending this place...

Didn't have a great experience earlier this summer here but tried giving this place another shot since it always gets such great reviews. The food was fine, but once again, the service was some of the worst I’ve ever had. We had a reservation, got seated, and then sat there for 25 minutes with no one checking in. Eventually had to flag down a random server just to put in a drink order. He was helpful, but the drinks took forever — by the time they showed up, the Dels margarita was totally melted. Had to flag down another server twice to fill up our waters.

We wanted to order another round of alcohol, but no one ever came back. Ended up having to go to the bar just to get another drink. Food-wise, I had the guac and al pastor tacos — both were okay — but we would’ve ordered more apps or maybe dessert if the service wasn’t so frustrating (because I was still hungry). The table next to us was having the same experience. I really wanted to like this place, but it ended up being a total waste of a night. I don't think they are built or have systems in place to handle a Gansett Summer...

Disappointed Before We Even Sat Down

My wife and I were really looking forward to trying this Mexican restaurant—we’d heard good things and were excited for a night out. Unfortunately, our experience ended before it even began.

When we arrived, the host told us we’d probably be better off going somewhere else. He told us there was only one couple ahead of us, but they couldn’t give us any idea how long the wait would be. We asked to be put on the wait list, but he again told us to probably go somewhere else. They mentioned they were seating people outside but weren’t sure if there was even a waiter assigned to that section.

It was incredibly disappointing to be turned away not because they were full, but because they seemed unsure how to manage the tables they did have. A little organization and customer care would’ve gone a long way. Sadly, we didn’t get to try the food—and now we’re not sure we’ll bother going back. Especially concerning because the summer rush has not...

An authentic Mexican restaurant in Narragansett? Yup, more along the lines of what you’d expect to find in Providence. It’s hidden away in the Peir market plaza, which from an exposure standpoint, could be challenging. I’m not sure how well they are doing, but it would probably be tough to get into, if it were in downtown Wakefield. On both our two walk in visits, we were promptly seated. Are two drinks were excellent, mine being the spicy margarita and my wife’s being the Coco Loco. For an app, we shared the six salsa sampler, which varied in spice from mild to really hot, but even the really hot one was a slow building burn, which was probably tempered by the cream component and it was awesome. Instead of “chips” it’s served with 3 large round hard corn tortillas, very different. My wife ordered the vegetable taco’s and I ordered the Al Pastor (pork) taco’s. Both were outstanding and we will definitely be regulars here

We went few weeks ago. The vibe is really nice. Friendly staff, we were greeted at the door. Seating is very comfortable. We started with the Sopes, they are a must. They were incredibly tasty. For the main course we ordered the barbacoa and the pollo al pastor tacos. The Barbaco has an amazing flavor, super tasty, cooked so well you can cut it with a spoon. The pollo moist and juicy, cooked perfectly. Putting together your oun tacos let's you put more flavors together. We we finished with the Churros and ice cream. The churros we're nice and crispy. As We were finishing up the manager, Jet, came over and spoke with us and asked how our meal was. He was very engaging and friendly. If I could give Agave Social Club a 4.5 I would I definitely recommend this tucked away, nice new gem in Narragansett.

This is a nice little restaurant. It has a very appealing look about it both inside and out. They do offer patio seating, which came in handy tonight, as it was perfect weather to sit outside. The staff were friendly, and we were seated quickly. They have a big tequila drink menu, I wish they offered some other types of alcohol but it’s to be expected at a Mexican style restaurant. We ordered a couple apps, which were good. I wish they offered traditional chips and salsa over the sampler. The entrees we had were pretty good. I think the only thing I’d say is I wish the portions were a little bigger for the $ but it is what it is. Overall it was a good experience. We would come back
