I had a terrible experience with this bakery yesterday! Let me preface that by saying the cakes are amazing and I’ve enjoyed them once before at my daughter-in-law’s baby shower. Yesterday, I needed to get two cakes for my twins 18th birthday, it was all very last minute because I had forgotten to place a previous order. I phoned your bakery yesterday, mid morning and asked if there were premade cakes that I could select from even though I had not placed an order. The young man on the phone was very curt with me, NOT friendly at all! He said yes there were premade options available in their case, and he described the different cakes that they had available, as well as bundt cakes with caramel flavor (a flavor that I have enjoyed before from them). It was Saturday mid morning when I spoke with him, I needed to hustle over before they would close at 1 PM. I needed to rearrange my schedule (as I was at work) a bit to make sure I would get there in time since they are about 30 minute drive from me. When I arrived to my shock, the only thing available in the case were premade Bundt Cakes!! I would not have expected the attitude that I got on the phone to be even worse in person, but apparently that’s possible with this young man! He represented your business yesterday as rude and unprofessional! I restated to him what he said on the phone to me, that he made it clear the different varieties of cakes you had as well as the bundt cakes that were premade and available as well, he said that this was what they had! I told him that I was not going to give my kids bundt cakes for their 18th birthday celebration! He looked at me with a smirk and said “oh well!” I was absolutely livid at his response and lack of concern, and not being clear about what was in the case and available to pick up the same day! I was just disgusted that I had rearranged my schedule dropped everything and then drove 30 minutes to the other side of town to be misled and treated so poorly by a young kid. He was the face of your company yesterday and it was not a good one! It is absolutely unacceptable to be misled like that. Then I was scrambling worse than before trying to find a bakery to get what I needed for the twins birthday. I sat in the parking lot and did an internet search for another bakery that could accommodate what I was looking for. Fortunately, I was able to find another bakery and when I spoke with them on the phone, they were so understanding and helpful and let me know that they had quite a few options (9 options to be exact) for me to select from that would meet my expectations. Fortunately, from one bad situation, at least it was redeemed with another. Their cakes were absolutely divine, and it was a great hit for the party, even though they were a last minute find! I had forgotten to order their cakes, and that was my mistake, but this was compounded by such a bad attitude and poor customer service that just made it so much worse! In the end, I’m glad that I was able to get what we needed from other bakery and that was a success. Unfortunately, moving forward does not lend to me wanting to do business with your bakery in the future. No matter how wonderful your cakes are, if you can’t treat people right and display no empathy or concern to the situation. Furthermore are downright misleading them to what you have available, then there is no need to do business with anyone who behaves like that! posting for my father I am not entirely sure where to start. As a lover of caramel cake, I was gifted a cake from here for Christmas. I will agree with the website in that I have been left “absolutely speechless.” It should be noted that these cakes are DENSE and heavy- so much so that I thought I had received a bad product. I stopped in the shop to inquire, and was met by I assume an owner. He proceeded to explain that the texture of my cake was what is to be expected from their product. I am fine with that, as now I know it’s not to my taste- what appalled me was his method of verifying this. His bare hand was used to press his fingers into each side of my cut cake, after which the box was closed and pushed back to me. During our interaction, his hands had been in his pocket, on a child’s head, and who knows where prior to me walking in. I was assured “we’re more than clean in here.” I explained my 70+ year old wife and I are too vigilant with our health to eat that now soiled cake. To address my concern, he took my cake to the back and cut off the pieces that he touched, but I left wondering what he could have done when I wasn’t watching because if this was his method of cleanliness with customers present, I can only imagine what could occur other times- I hope more sanitary methods are observed in the...

I recently ordered a cake here for the first time for my boyfriend's birthday, after finding them online. The website made it easy to get some basic info on cakes, and calling to order was a cinch. I ordered the Firefly cake and they kindly wrote a simple "Happy Birthday" on top for free. Simple pickup as well, especially with everything going on, I appreciated getting in and out quickly. Can confirm: it's delicious!!!

About the actual cake: I was worried a 6" wouldn't be enough, since we realized last minute that we would be seeing a few friends that night, but it's so so dense, you really can't eat a big piece. The two of us had a piece the size in the picture, another sliver a little later, then the 4 of us had a small piece each later in the night, and the next morning we still had a bit more than half of the cake left! The Firefly/hallelujah cake is part pound cake, which is obviously already dense, chocolate truffle cake which is super moist and fudgy, and a fantastic caramel icing that might be my favorite part.
