El Marisco Grill — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

The worse Mexican restaurant ever! My family and I tried this restaurant today September 15 the Mexican independent day to enjoy an especial Mexican moment, I am from Mexico City and obviously I am expert in Mexican food, the waiter service was very good, the big problem was the food! It is terrible without no flavor and no sal, I tried the Birria a classic dish from Guadalajara Mexico, I trying to fix the dish with lime and sal but was impossible. My Son and Daughter tried an asada taco, the meat was over cooked without flavor also. When I asked about the food quality the manager ( A Centro American women) responded my very rude that I am a very bad customer because a only went on time the last 6 year and I don't have any right to ask about the quality, this woman doesn't have any idea about the customer service. That is the reason of the bad quality food! Centro Americans cooking and manage a Mexican Restaurant. It is like put a Vietnam people cook sushi. Don't waste your money and time in this sad, ugly and bad restaurant. I missing the previous administration... my personal recommendation is las Fogatas or...

Let me start with the positives. The food was absolutely delicious. BUT we ordered the chimichanga meals, to go, with queso, & churros. They were supposed to come with beans and rice. Neither meal did which was disappointing for $11 a piece, and we got 2. :/ would have been less disappointed had our order not been given away to someone else, before my guy got there. Maybe the food was kept out with regular Postmates orders, when we were a just a pickup? No idea. He had to wait for a whole new order and we still didn't get our beans and rice, which to be honest, would have really made my meal. The shrimp chimichanga was my favorite. If you ate in house, you'd probably have a great experience, but we were exhausted from yard work and landscaping all day. Just wanted to be at home. For what we paid, I wish we had had all of our food and not had the first order given away. Will definitely give them a second chance. There was more food than in the photos. Service is great, staff super nice! Poor food and drink selection.. and menu makes no sense. They need to figure out if they want to be a mexican restaurant or italian restauarant. Chicken rice and cheese is listed on the menu as Chicken Alfredo!?!??! Fajita Nachos came out with mozzerela cheese all over it instead of queso...what mexican restauarant uses italian cheese over fajita nachos? Cheese too thick and stringy to eat.. . Gross taste... like trying to mix pasta with your nachos....chicken had bland taste no seasonings. Taste very bad. Small drink glasses. 16 oz margarita comes out in a tiny glass that could not be more than 10 ounces... beer the same... short stubby mug. Margarita was fantastic but the beer tasted awful. Salsa tasted just like pizza or pasta sauce??? Pictures of nasty oysters everywhere trying to advertise them i guess. Tried the place out twice. Disappointed...
