This place is great!

Tons of board games to choose from, and multiple copies of the most popular ones, so you don't have to wait for people to be done.

We went yesterday, expecting to leave after a few games. We ended up staying for 9 hours!

Without doubt, the best part of the experience is having someone on hand to explain new games. It allowed us to try several games we'd never played before and would have taken an hour or more to learn if we tried to sift through the rulebooks. Rick helped us learn Alhambra and Carcassone, which I have been wanting to play for a while. He was super friendly and really knows his stuff. With his help, we picked up the games in just a couple minutes.

I have no complaints at all about my experience, but I do have a couple suggestions for ways to make the place even better. Firstly, I think it would be a cool idea to have a system for helping people find people to play games with. Sometimes I really want to play some games, but don't have enough friends available to make it work. What if there was a way to indicate that you're looking for more players to join your group? Some plastic signs for your table, or a dedicated "Looking for Group" area, or something.

Secondly, more snack-type food options would be cool, too. If I'm staying at a business for multiple hours, I want to spend enough to make it worth their while. But I can only drink so much coffee.

All in all, five stars....

Been to several game cafe/restaurant/bar places. This one was disappointing.

When we arrived for a "Catan Meet-up" everyone was in small groups, and most of the tables were taken because they really didn't have many tables of gaming size. Came to play with new people, but it didn't happen.

We started to play Starfarers Catan, but had to put it back. It wouldn't have fit on the table even with only 3 people playing. Then we tried to play Dominion, but it did not have all the instructions. Then we played Rivers Catan, but only was able to play by using parts from a different Catan because they weren't all there.

We didn't have food there, so can't say how that would be. They seem to make up the prices on soda, though. One of our party bought one and it cost $2 for a 12 oz can. I bought one an hour later from a different server, and it cost $2.50.

Lady at the counter told one of our party that they were out of the cider he ordered. However, a little while later, another worker was stocking them. I feel the 1st one just didn't want to go in back and get them.

Cool art in the bathroom.

I...

Not really happy about leaving a poor review, however we recently came in to your store on 12/11/21 after our power was knocked out from the tornados/storms and we needed a place to stay warm and charge our things, and we had a poor exchange with your shift lead that day. My friends arrived before me and had a table when I arrived. I sat down and not even two seconds after sitting, your shift lead approached me and told me that “instead of assuming, next time ask before you just push tables together.” I responded with excuse me because I wanted to be sure I heard what I thought I heard and he repeated himself after having a stare down with me. Even though he clearly wasn’t paying attention to the fact that I arrived last and had no idea that my friends pushed two tables together, that is no way to speak to a guest and should have been handled differently. My whole table consisted of small business owners and general managers so we’re no strangers to customer service. We will not be returning until he undergoes new guest service training or is no longer with...

Coffee & Competition at a Board Game Café 🎲

Enough good things cannot be said about this lovely board game cafe. Why don’t they have more of these in the world!! They have every board game you can think of in their collection and a multiple sets of some games that are popular with their patrons. A great selection of teas and somewhat limited selection of seasonal Lattes that ain’t the best coffee in town but it’s good enough to meet your needs while you play board games. They always run out of their pastries by the evening so if you go there late night to play, be prepared for a closed kitchen and empty pastries tray. I like that they’re open till 10 over the weekend, wish it was open even longer. They have a couple of spots in their parking lot that you can imagine fill up pretty quickly but street parking is easy to find in that area. There’re multiple restaurants nearby in the area so the location is super convenient if you wanna play some board games after dinner. Staff is friendly and the crowd is always respectful of noise levels. If you haven’t checked them out, you’re in for a treat!

Game Point hits everything out of the park. The atmosphere is great, the crafted drinks are terrific, and the service couldn't be better. Even the bathroom was awesome! Most importantly, the game selection is perfectly curated, labeled, maintained, and extremely well rounded! The menu, besides having a great selection, also has game suggestions on the back organized by categories and what you're looking for. I am honestly blown away, and genuinely wish I had a place like this back home. If I could give 6 stars I would, buy instead I'll have to give 5 and promise to come back every chance I get.
